Brian is an exceptionally strong nerved dog with great impression, all male. He catches the eye. He is a power dog that has a switch. Calm, until he is given a command; and, then full throttle with maximum acceleration. He is an enthusiastic working partner. Very clear and clean in the head; he is trustworthy. Athletic, well built, powerful bone, naturally dry and firm. Beautiful strong head, dark eye, a striking handsome dog.

He has no hole in his character and is certified as such by score of 1,000 in the RSV2000 Breed Survey, which is the maximum a dog can be scored and remarkable. Dr. Helmut Raiser personally expressed to me his personal delight at Brian’s extraordinary nerve score. Helmut did not know that I had a litter out of Brian when he made the comment to me.

Brian, to my observations, is a producer; stamping his puppies. His litters are consistently homogeneous. Amazingly, when he was in Spain, they never bred him. He was strictly a competition working dog, period. No inbreeding is needed for him to pass on his superior characteristics.


Brian is an excellent producer, both physically and nerve-wise. He produces excellent and early expression of working character; calm with excellent pack, food and prey drives. He is not dominant for genetic defective genes. He does not produce hernias and off-bites. On the positive, all testicles descend early. Ears show good action and sets, good heads with stops, strong bone, high withers, strong backs, long underlines, good tail sets, nice tight feet. Brian carries only the sable gene.

My V2 litter is out of a very strong female that has keen situational awareness. My entire Brian litter is of the highest quality, both physically and nerve-wise with excellent working character. There are not many producers in the current gene pool of both conformation or working lines. I am keeping a male and a female out of this litter with which to go forward. I had no genetic problems in my V2 litter. No hernias, no off-bites, all testicles descended. All ears showing good action and sets, good heads with stops, strong bone, high withers, strong backs, long underlines, good tail sets, nice tight feet. Brian carries only the sable gene, but the dam of the litter is a dark blanket with red markings and carries the black recessive gene. As far as early expression of working character, the pups are calm with excellent pack, food and prey drives. Nice!!!
