I have a Quantum great grand-daughter...  when does his line typically grow out the head?  She is a beautiful dog and has an amazing resemblence for a female to father.  Her head is clear, her temperament is good, but her drive is a bit less than I hoped for given the strength of her line.  I have heard this is often the case for Quantum progeny.  Any thoughts?

manoj, I don't think it has nothing to do with linebreeding or his line.
It says that Winner, died of bloat.
And dogs like us have a destiny. Some die of cancer or some other thingy.
I have perfectly healthy dog off of him. I think it is a good subject for the forums in this case.

So sorry to hear this about a truely nice dog. I thank you Quantum for giving me my Dieta Urbecke. She has been a wonderful dog who is so full of life. When I see her eyes full of life and running around those blinds I think and wonder if that's how you are so free and full life.

Hay everyone,,,

Flipp , Zamp, Quantum,,,,,,,,,is it red signal for us???
Are we all are just thinking about looks (anatomy), performance and progeny is that just breeding and showing or money making machine??? Is that some is doing research or some work on effect of line and inbreeding on the dogs life span.

Quantum you were the best i met you many times wenn we were over to visit you or one of your sons
You allways looked like the king of the casstle
You were the Lion King under the German Sheperd
I am a big fan of you loved youre aditute and your allways shinning beauty
You were with Peter on the wright spot he was the person that loved you the most
He never changed your present into money he kept you at his side
Run quantum run in green fields of dog heaven
You was a gift of god
We will miss you
Ron and Barbara

Have you a dog in Heaven, Lord?
And do you pat its head?
Does he sit up and beg each night before he goes to bed?
Does he look up with shining eyes when he sees Your smiling face?
Does he wag his stubby little tail when he wants to run a race?
Have You a dog in Heaven, Lord? Is there room for just one more?
Cause QUANTUM died today; he will be waiting at Your door.
Please take him into Heaven, Lord. And keep him there for me,
just feed him, pet him, love him, Lord, that's all he'll ask of Thee.

The Oldest VA this year! It took him some time to get there but he finally got it!

Larus should be possibly withdrawn next year, unless they think of making him a triple sieger the 1st time ever in history!

Then it will be the time for Quantum to become sieger as it has been a long time since an arminius dog has become sieger!
One of the greatest kennels of all-times!

I hope his owner shows him next time!

Power to Quantum!

The most talked about dog HAS to be Quantum von Arminius. In one of my earlier posts I had mentioned that he was never in the race for sieger, with So many talking about the shape of his head.

His VA2 over the weekend is a true recognition of the unquestionable impact this Male among males has on the breed. Comming once again from Jeck Norricom through Visum Arminius, Max Mercanti, Dux Valcuvia to Himself (Quantum Arminius) to his VA son Zamp, what a lineage. It seems the time has come again for another Sieger from this wonderful family.

To think that if Larus(A great dog himself) were pulled out Quantum would be Sieger today is a naughty thought.

The emphasis is back again on Medium sized Strong dogs with super secondary sex qualities, with Quantum a Male definately looks Masculine. With age catching on this maybe His highest position but I sure hope Zamp is Sieger, this family of cousins to Ursus blood deserve to take the Crown aswell!

To see Dux, Quantum and son Zamp all together at the show in Ulm was amazing. Each has fantastic movement and each is better then the last.
If Zamp will produce like his father does he will make the Sieger in the future. Zamp for me was the best dog at the 2003 Sieger Show Quantum should have made a higher place. Dogs that have not proven what they can produce for me should not be VA.
Congratulations to the owners of these fantastic males. We will see the positive impact of these dogs for years to come. I look forward to many more fantastic dogs from Quantum.

Hi abhai
I will like to add to you that both Zender & Nickos have produced very good pigmentations. Here we forgot that the mother is very important too.I have very dark coloured progenies of both Nickos & Zender bred by me Which our good friend Visum is aware about. I had a good litter from Quando too which UNFORTUNATELY perished too early. I will mail one example of the same to you

hiya Wildstrobe
I think Quando Nordlandzwinger definately deserves to be called the best producer in North India......look at the results of the 5th national indian sieger show which ive mentioned here >>>>
Youth Siegerin> Barrel of Aeyvee,
Young Sieger> Castor of Rising Star,
Young Siegerin> Carry of Rising Star,

Zender Noort and Nickos Wannsee follow closely behind him.
Zender produces nice females, though lighter in pigment but with superb construction.
Quando is producing nicely pigmented animals of the upper-medium to large size, though i personally prefer his daughters, and i must add that his progeny is really energetic and gr8 pullers of the lead!
Ive seen a couple of very nice males out of Nickos(s/o VA Lasso Neuen Berg), though a couple had really weak pigment.

Thanks Mr.Solo.I'm not very keen on writing in this list everyday as most of the time it's filled with mud-throwing by 3-4 contributors. You should have a look at Larus's comments, there's a political debate going on there.Poor dog...if only he knew.
Anyway coming back to Quantum I once again appreciate his progeny and once again say that I don't like his type.

I have also experienced this visum always interfers between one to one talks between others does not let others express their opinion and is totally intolerant about others views. this is not a healthy signs just look at the number of people he had had confrontations with and then tries to make up. ok carry on the good work.

dear visum
you have got totally rong info about me i have kept more shepherds then you and i have just writtrn to abhai kaul that he should respect solo.why do you meddle with everybody every now and then just look at your history you have entered into arguements with atleast 10-12 people till now and this is not what this site is meant for. do you get paid for desai or abhai kala krisna cant they speak for themselves.tell me which lab does i possess. please verify your facts before making such statements i have not bred a lab in my life i swear.
mr abhai i have never said anything derogatory to you but if you want to enter into slang matching than upto you but again this site is not meant for it. i have just said that everybody knows that you or visum are nowhere comparable to solo in age or experience and you should think twice before writing about him but if you think both of you should abuse everybody then please go ahead i will prefer to watch from distance but i still advice for your age dear abhay think before you speak if you think ok allright if you think i am speaking out of my mind ignore it regards

Visum, and Nummer ein, you should both learn to read more carefully, after that you should learn to write more carefully, then you would both learn more. I get very disappointed when my written words are so clearly misunderstood, and or blatantly twisted by an ill considered and inappropriate response, it leads me to consider ending my comments on this site. Believe me it is much easier for reknowned breeders and Judges not to contribute their comments to this site, than to contribute. All of you will have noticed how very few, if any, well known, and English speaking German breeders and Judges, do NOT make any comments on this site. The main reason for this is the type of misunderstandings that commonly occur, along with many offensive replies from from people who clearly illustrate they have little or no knowledge of the GSD, either a GSD in particular, or GSD in general. Many should learn to give much more carefully considered replies, or to stay silent.

Well Venusy.....Atleast Nummer ein has an opnion.... and stands by his favouraite dogs....you speak of achivements? you are but a Labrador breeder....... may be Nummer ein is young but let him be entitled to his opnion......and if YOU have A OPNION then that is yours, don't force it on to others man..... where dose it say that youngsters cannot have knowladge or an Opnion?
Mr.Solo We all have Great respect for you and your views..most of us read your posts with great intrest to learn.......at times we think differently...SO what is "SO Pathetic" about Nummer Eins view... If Dux is a BAD dog...I say he has a higher placed VA son....If Quantum is bad the HE has a youth Seiger Son...SO I guess since these dogs are produceing such high placed animlas the these dogs deserve to be recomended for breeding by makeing VA......

dear numer ein
you people whose total age is les than the number of years solo has put in the GSDs should not have any objection to what solo thinks particularly when you yourself are passing remarks with such authority on highly rated dogs and your total experience in the game not even a few years or a few dogs. what is that which entitles you to write anything but not others particularly persons who have many credits in the game. i know you personally and will advice you to first breed good dogs have some nice stock & then talk too high particularly with people whom you cannot even be compared with talk high but after you do something not mere talks regards

solo, thank god the the german judges dont think like you otherwise Dux della Valcuvia wud have never made to VA......I definately feel that he should have gone even higher!!!
No offence, but sayin that his shoulders are bad or forward placed or that him making to VA being political (refer to "impressions" in ur website)really misses the point.... both Quantam and Dux have a fantastic movement, a very nice construction (at least in my books!!!) and are producing fab dogs too!!!
I dont wanna disrespect you or anything...... I really like your judging and choice of dogs otherwise (Kevin is one of my fav. too ;) u know!) its jus that I cant stand a dog of Dux's caliber being trashed soooo bad!
Hope u didnt take it in a bad taste.....coz im still a novice n dont have those long years of breeding experience behind me....Pls tell me wht u think....

VA7 Quantum vom Arminius, is a big, powerful male, a son of VA 8 Dux della Valcuvia, I have never liked either of these males. I think they are rather ugly, particularly in the head and expression, they have forward placed shoulder blades, Dux is somewhat the worse, they are long in proportions, and rather flat over the wither, with short croups. They are both excellent movers and I have to say, their breeding is superb, the dam of Dux, Una della Valcuvia is magnificent, and this sire line goes back to VA Max della Loggia, and Sieger Visum Arminius. It is very clear that Quantum is a superb producer, of both males and females. His son & SG1 Zamp vom Thermodos is without doubt the most beautiful male I have seen since Odin Tannenmeise, he is superbly constructed, of magnificent type, excellent head and expression, with strength and substance which was the important hall mark of this years Sieger Show, Zamp is to me a ‘super’ dog, I have no doubt his future is absolutely assured, both in the show ring, and in his producing ability. Quantum also sired, in the Junior males, SG3 Lutz vom Bad-Boll, SG6 Nex von der Noriwand, SG16 Hill vom Cohinoor, and in the Junior females, SG8 Gillana zum Gigelsfelsen, SG18 Narusha vom Noriswand, SG20 Dixi Veracruz, SG24, SG34, SG44 & SG49, A record that speaks for itself. You may well ask, why was Quantum VA7 and not higher? In my opinion he should have been VA3

odin777 do you think larus and quanto have become high vrated dogs without producing anything. after reading your comments it seems that something is wrong but not with quantos head but yours particularly inside it. dont spoil this site by writing such uninformative crap regards

This dog reminds me of Zamb Winerau. The head profile is very much similar to that of Zamb but Zamb had a robust head and this dog is having lesser volume in the head than Zamb. This dog does not have much progenies too. I think this dog will not be found in the listing of the next seiger.
if he wants to remain in the list he has to produce good and come up with something special.

Way to GO Quantum..... VA over his on sire super, hope you go all the way Quantum!

This is a dog pedigree, used by breeders and breed enthusiasts to see the ancestry and line-breeding of that individual dog. The pedigree page also contains links to the dogs siblings and progeny (if any exist). For dog owners with purebred dogs this is an excellent resource to study their dog's lineage.
