This is a dog pedigree, used by breeders and breed enthusiasts to see the ancestry and line-breeding of that individual dog. The pedigree page also contains links to the dogs siblings and progeny (if any exist). For dog owners with purebred dogs this is an excellent resource to study their dog's lineage.

I Cherish so many beautiful memories with Quarz, It was an unrepeatable Dream run with numerous BISs over a couple of years! He Lived with me in my bed room and was such a pet!
He gave to my kennel and the rest of the country such beautiful offspring.
He was a Stallion in the ring and outside, specially choosey of the people he mingled with. Its with a heavy heart Im writing this piece, I really will Miss Quarz. :(

Shabi ... almost all of madam's BI bitches are neither titled, nor breed surveyed or have any kind of hip/elbow scores. So Quarz can produce as bad progeny as Eros.
If we need to talk about Eros then it should be on his page not on the Quarz page.
Talking about madam and her dogs is like opening a can of worms!

Why aren't these dogs registered with the databse? They are great and the breeder Mr.tejas should look forward to registering them all!
I had met Mr.Tejas at the Mumbai Canine CLub show where Mr.Vishwas Raj handled the dog for him and won BOB under both judges.
Please share pics of Indian dogs incase you have any! and feel free to ask me as i have a lot 2.

Quarz is definitely a good producer and a great show winner 2!
I have seen some of his progeny personally,
Just look at what he has given in just 1 litter! BIS.Ch.Teja's Fedor,BIS.Ch.Teja's Fox
and Teja's Flick will soon complete his title. He's left out only b'coz of limited showing.
Fox and Fedor won Best in shows in their puppy ages,so u can just imagine about what Quality they must be! He is also 2005 Indian youth sieger!
Look at Vinmin's pedro, look at the head and bones and body 2 and even Picasso! Both are Great and even Agusthas who has himself produced well! Enja vom wolfen-haus and After effect are good progeny!
What do u mean by a really good producer????
A dog who produces well, with his offsprings producing well too! Quarz proved himself!
He passed on his reproductive abilities and genetic potential to his progeny!
So people who criticise and put mud, show the world if you have anything better than Quarz or have any dog who has produced better!
Prove it or or stop this!

really??? As standard practice - Do Germans breed 2 animals that are similar in appearance without regard to pedigree? A few examples would be nice to further elucidate this point.
When Kala had kruso in his prime, her bitches were mated to Zambos, Yasso etc. Don't know if that is not done anymore.

I have been updated by people close to Quarz that his temperment has improved from the time I have seen him at the Hyderabad Show. Hats off to his owner and handler who brought about this change.
With a good temperment he is a good overall dog.

I know Q personally. Kala is a great friend. Roopa, Kala has bred well though she has never given me something from any of her really nice litters. I am always ragging her about it. Hope Kala reads this and gives me a great bitch.
Q is a good dog. Roopa you have said this to begin with in your mail. A faultless dog will only be a VA and very few poor Indians
can afford such dogs. Lets be frank neither can Kala afford it nor can I.
I have respect for this lady's kennel asnd her breeding programme. Sometimes you have to get the best out of what you have and thats what Kala has done. See for yourself the Champs she has produced. Yes dream we all can- I also dream that I will one day house a VA but that will never be reality.
We should look at what every dog can give the breed. So Roopa there are a lot of pluses also in Q progeny. look at the length of Forearm and the movement in the Progeny of Q.If you are a breeder you need to examine how you can retain what Q has given you and breed to improve. That will get the game forward. All dogs have their faults and even VAs produce them. So why blame Q. He is also another dog.
I am not going into whether Roopa is right or wrong bcos it is the beginning of a controversy. Let us examine what we can get out of the dog the plus points and breed out of negative points. after all thats what makes this so exciting- GSD breeding.
Kala this is all for that great bitch you will one day give me- you will finally!!!!!

I have seen Q from the moment he landed at Kala's place. I like Q's pedigree a lot, and have been following his get with interest. I must admit that I have seen only those that went to shows. I did not see the faults you mentioned in a majority of them - that is all I meant.
the remark on his temper is of particular interest to me - Because Q had started bossing around Kruso in his latter years. I am told that he is now the alpha male in kala's kennel. Alex, when was this incident of running away?

At the Sieger show in Hyderabad I have seen Igor Brunskilltal chasing this dog (Q was being handled by Visum) and Q did not retaliate instead he started running out of the ring out of fear
Igor was moved two positions down in the ring because of this act of his.
I do not say that a dog should attack without any provocation but when meddeld with he should fight to kill or to die. Only the master should be able to command him out of the fight,After all the GSD is a working dog and not a show piece
Q is surely a good dog but he is a big zero for temperment
No offence to his owner, handler and those who like this dog
I have written what I have observed

Every dog does have problems and Q might not be the best mate to all bitches. But I must say that I have not seen the faults you mentioned in a significant number of his progeny to sound an alarm.
Since it takes 2 hands to clap - pls do mention the bitches thru whom Q produced these faults.
Visum, you know well how he produces - why don't u comment?

Regarding Handling GSD's I had seen a person from Bangalore by name Mr.Prabhakar. I last saw him was in 2001 Hyderabad show. He handled his Male dog very well and he stacks the dog automatically. For my wonder he used to command the dog like front leg and back leg and the dog use to adjust. He never toutched the dog while moving or stacking and it was a feast to the eyes. I remember on the day he also got BoS in the show.

1. He is producing straight shoulders.
2. Color is not his strong points- infact check with any German and Lasso has that reputation.
3. He is shy himself and while we are not bothered about this in India, discerning breeders should worry.
4. His owner is known to boast- bring any bitch to Quarz and he will produce well. Madam, it is not becoming of an experienced breeder like you- tall claims like this tend to be an over kill. I can tell you a no. of bitches with whom Quarz has produced a big zero.
5 He had a flapping ear and we should take care that this doesnt appear in the progeny.
6. Definitely not in the Class of Quando and Fedor but way behind.

As for the first place it obviously goes out to Dasty who has produced uniformity to the breed in a consistent rate though termed a **UNGENUGEND** in his pedigree. The results are just in front of your eyes and please feel free to open your limited eyes and broaden it to the Seiger show held in Pune and I think it will get clear to you. Be happy with the second palce, at least be happy with that. There are much things lacking in Quarz"s progeny which is yet to be proved , so please say ""THE BEST PRODUCER"" when the real time comes and not before.

I will like to remind you that the Vinmin's picasso that you are so impressed by & his even better litter brother Pedro has been the progeny of a female owned by Quarz's owner only. Also another of Quarz's offspring from Rosana kahler heide (Another female owned by same owner & Winner at A innumerable Number of shows & the D/O THE GREAT Ulk Arlett) Vinmin's Quina has beaten the Greatest GSD to come to India Quando Nordlandzwinger to BOB (The feat you are accomplishing Mrs.Giri with). I think you missed out on this.
Also nobody can make everyone happy with his males or females Even Quando has the worst of critics ,SO on this CRITERIA WILL YOU LABEL THE ENTIRE DOG FRATERNITY AS CRIMINAL?.
A point to Ponder
Best Regards
