Unfortunately, I came to the point where I must admit you MAY be right... since your messages, I've been asking some questions on this dog and his former owner, round here. As I know him and don't want to cause any problems to anybody, especially when I don't know anything for sure, I will just say that there seams to be something wrong...
I still don't understand how this dog had a show career here, how he got to Poznan and what his new owner thought he was doing, as long as he knew there was a tattoo problem...
The TATTOO definitely didn't change over night :)

OK then, give me a logical explanation. The tattoo changed over night? There is a SV Judge plus a dozen breeders who saw Drigo's tattoo.
And I saw with my own eyes the dog disqualified.

"nobody noticed or cared in Europe"...??? Do you really belive that the dog got to the European Championship and the judge didn't check the tattoo?... come on!...
I repeat: this doesn't happen in Europe - you've got the wrong impression.

Who said he didn't check the tattoo? Maybe he thought that if nobody noticed or cared in Europe, the same thing will happen here.
By the way, the new owner is Romanian.

No, this is not a common problem in Europe; I've seen Drigo in many contests and the judges never said anything about the tatoo not matching the pedigreee number; but I've got a question: how did this new owner buy him without cheking his tatoo and even get him to the show? I mean, I find it hard to belive that someone pays any mony for anything without cheking what he pays for...
as of Drigo being an European champion I don't know anything - I belive he's got the 4th excelent in Poznan, where the FCI European Championship was hold that year.

This dog is now in Canada, his new owner tried to show him in Ontario Regionals, but when the Judge checked his tattoo all numbers were different. So he is not Cim Bornberg's son, but who is he?
Somebody told me that this dog was European Champion in 2001, is that correct? How could that be possible with a dog having such a problem? Nobody ever verified his tattoo? I wonder if that is a common problem in Europe.

yes, Drigo has got some progenies in Europe, especially here, in Romania, but I've never heard of any tatoo problems

Can somebody tell me who this dog really is? His tattoo in his ear is not the same with the one in his pedigree. I know that this Sire had many progenies in Europe, is this problem known there?

This is a dog pedigree, used by breeders and breed enthusiasts to see the ancestry and line-breeding of that individual dog. The pedigree page also contains links to the dogs siblings and progeny (if any exist). For dog owners with purebred dogs this is an excellent resource to study their dog's lineage.
