Die etwas kurze Kruppe, welche durch den hohen Rutenansatz verdeckt wird, und schwache Fesseln will ich gern übersehen, weil er von guter Qualität und durchschlagender Vererbungskraft ist, die sich nach meiner Ansicht noch erhöhen könnte, wenn der Besitzer bei der Auswahl von Hündinnen für seinen Roland den Maßstab strenger anlegen würde. Laut WZ: Mittelgroßer, mittelkräftiger Rüde mit sehr guter Harmonie und Linienführung , guten Winklungen der Vor- und Hinterhand. Sicher und ausgeglichen im Wesen mit sehr guter Härte und Schärfe.
