Astrovan--

I had a good experience with ASPCA over a second giardia infection. Not that there is anything good about giardia...

I'm sorry they didn't treat you better. I hate it when any insurance company reneges on fulfilling its coverage. It happened to me with renter's insurance a long, long time ago, and decades later I still haven't been able to replace everything :-(

what do you guys think of Progressive Pet Insurance?

by jillmissal on 26 January 2020 - 13:01

@k9sar: "Take what you would pay for premiums and put it in a separate account for emergencies"

I pay about $500/dog for premium with a $200 deductible, so $700/year. One of my dogs had $10K in vet bills last year.

What insurance are you using to get a $500/year premium?

by jettasmom on 29 January 2020 - 20:01

I pay 750.00 a year for 2 dogs. 250.00 deductible. Allergy testing for one dog was 500.00 so we’ll worth it

My ASPCA plan is $500-600, 90% reimbursement, $200 deductible, and $5000 max. If I had to do it all over again would get one with no limit and absolutely get it as soon as I'd get the puppy so nothing would be considered pre-existing.

@pirschgang I use Figo and Nationwide. Most of the companies have similar premiums though.
