Victor hi pro twice a day. I also cook turkey every week and put some on their evening meal to get my 7 yr old to eat her supplements...probiotic and glucosamine (I crush a tablet...cheaper than the dog treat ones). I also give them canned sardines (canned in water) three times a week. They sometimes eat raw chicken feet as a treat.

Dawulf - "We did feed Sport Dog Food, before that."

Was this the "sport & agility" by Acana?

I feed a combination of Canadian Naturals Lamb & Rice and Acana Sport & Agility (1/2 & 1/2). I realize there is a class-action lawsuit against Orijen/Acana, but to the best of my knowledge that only applies to certain American-manufactured bags. The Orijen/Acana in Canada is made in Canada, and is different formulations from different sources.

A friend of mine (a trainer & behavioural adviser) has literally just put some excellent video on YouTube on how to decide on the best food for your dog, how to read the labels to decide whether manufacturers are being truthful or not, some of the myths and problems that go with ALL feeding regimes, etc.  They are aimed primarily at a UK audience but some truths are universal.

Not sure I'd manage to link it to here; you can find it yourselves under 'Robert Alleyne', its on his Facebook page as well.

Raw! I make it all myself.

Ingredients include Chicken (chicken backs and leg quarters), beef, chicken hearts, beef heart and tongue, salmon, mackerel, rabbit, lean pork loin, duck and turkey. I also include a small amount of spinach. Major percentage is chicken. Morning feed they get a raw egg and 1/2 tspn of ground egg shell as well with vitamin supplement and tablespoon of olive oil. Fish oils come from Salmon (I use what is left after filleted) and whole baby mackerel that is ground bones and all. My treats are freeze dried beef liver that I also make.
