Okay, I can see the video much better if I click on YouTube to view it, then go to full screen. To my eye, he definitely looks blue! The nose leather is the giveaway to me. It certainly does NOT look black, the way it should in a normal-coloured pup.

Does this look anything like the pup in real life?

Still, 3 pages later, need to see the pedigree! LOL Looks like a black-masked Mal in that vid. (I know it's not- just making the point that it's pretty hard to tell) I don't see this blue people are talking about.

Ootyvijay, we REALLY need the EXACT pedigree, and STILL PHOTOS of the dog at different angles in clear lighting, and also of the underside of the fur. We are all dying of curiosity now :D

There are so many variations in the blue colored dogs mine were always steel blue.
And the pedigree only tellsso much
I was looked at pedigrees of blue dogs just this morning and while the database was saying no common ancestry5 generations I seen several of the same dogs in that 5. I also seen quite afew Arminius dogs in there I found with my blue pups and research there are so many carriers of the blue /liver etc, genes.
My DDR was carrier I found list of known carriers from DDR to Uran Wildsteigerland and thousands more in between.

So here s a. List of blue/,,liver and white gene carriers.

I myself love. them I just spent an hour reading a 2008 thread here about the blue dogs
It was rather amusing actually.

I wouldn't mind a well-bred, "whoopsie" blue or liver one day, to train and hopefully trial and prove that "color doesn't matter". I think they are gorgeous, but would have to just happen upon one at the right time, I'd never go shopping for one directly and support a color breeder.

That being said, this puppy doesn't look blue to me either. Looks like a weird sable. Are you sure no other dogs got to her?

Pedigree will tell me if the pup could be sable, Joni! That was the point. Not whether blues are in the ped.

Dawulf sees what I see....and has the same question, lol.

If there isn't any black, then it has to be a blue. Not sure why that isn't obvious to Dawulf, either. The second video looks very "blue" .

The pup doesn't seem to be showing a saddle and one would expect that from what can be seen in the pedigree, especially for a showline. Blankets and bi's are seen there, too. Sable does not seem possible from what is given.

It will be interesting to see more pictures as the pup grows. The possibility of a fence jumper might make sense if the pup is a true blue sable.
