I would like to talk about the videos posted by sunsilver of dog 2015 SV BSP Meppen part 16 platz 24 0703 Orlo von der neuen Klus. Some asked:"Why do you call this "old school" training? " Susie.

Where is there any proof in those videos that this is a "hard dog?"( Bwarian wagon)

Why does that depict a 'hard dog'? Because he can run blinds? (Joanro)

LOL, no wonder the US won the WUSV if ya'll are stuck in the stone ages. It's still old school. It's the same as it has been 20 years ago. (Baerenfangs Erbe)

And on and on.  I actually understand the questions since they are taken from wrong perspective.

The training is critiqued yet it took  the dog to  16th place in BSP 2015. And really there is not much difference between 16th and 1st place. The kicking and funky handling and training to the brake line and inducing confusion  is used and so on> What is up with that most will legitimately ask. It is to add pressure onto the dog so that he does well when shit is calm in comparison to the training.  Like during competition. "A hard drill makes an easy battle." Or "Train hard, fight easy." -seid by  Russian Field Marshal Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov ( Military genius who generally kicked ass. ) Attachment: An image

Suvorov also said: Accustom yourself to tireless activity.. You may ask why? easy does it. Right? I know the training on the video is not pretty. But that is not the point. If the dog can take it then drive him hard - harder then on the competition. That makes competition easy. These concepts of hard and even confusing training for competition ( or anything for that matter) are and were used by old style trainers. It is very sound training concept which today PC society does not condone and it is often forgotten so that even non PC do not understand it. That is why I like the training. I want people here to learn to them new stuff often derived from old military and combat experiences. ______________

Have you ever seen top competition? There the quality of performance is almost identical in all top dogs thus they judge ridiculously minute details in performance.

His point is not mathematical VK.

Gigante, ( is that a paraphrase of the quote from Last samurai > I very much like this General Custer ( Katsumoto )?:))

Carl von Clausewitz, another military strategist genius, called Suvorov the greatest commander who ever lived...or something like that. You can learn a lot about training dogs by reading on and about guys like these. Also Sun Tzu and Miyamoto Musashi http://www.badassoftheweek.com/musashi.html and such.

There is no end of  the line of them. if you are interested in them this then it is fascinating reading. Better then to twirl thumbs on video game console anyway.

I think it is good way to learn from them what bad ass and hard and aggressive really is and how to use it.

Every minute point is ever hard to get at that level. I would say you are diminishing the the amazing achievement of the guys, their dogs and their training who's extreme effort to get those extra few points.

What would your general dude think about coming 16'th in a battle and not first, not much difference?

If someone wants to learn to train a dog surely they would best spend their timr to go find an accomplished living breathing dog  trainer not trawl the internet reading about long dead generals WTF?
