Jenni - nice find, I really like that second pic of her up off all 4's in the air with that look in her eyes. Now that you have your Uno off-spring, can you say anything about your plans for her? Are you going to breed on the Stadtfeld side?

Yummy. Like her a lot; best of luck with her. Nan

Not very familiar with the pedigree as such, but a fantastic looking girl, Jen. Good luck with your plans for her.

"Parrish already tried to steal her from me."

LOL!  Of course he did.

I missed all these nice responses. I don't know how I did that unless it was one of those cases where "latest posts" didn't bring up all the threads. Thank you all for the kind comments, first off.

Let's see if I can cover everything... Uno has been of interest to me as he's reportedly similar to his full brother Metin, who is Capri's maternal grandsire, and my tracking and questioning has led me to believe many of her temperamental traits are coming from those bloodlines. It's been described to me as "power on tap" which I take to mean (I could be wrong, but this is what I see in mine) plenty of whatever you need when called for, yet you're not peeling a hectic, neurotic lunatic off the walls day in and day out.  Her father is likely to blame for the "over the top" extreme stuff, but that wasn't exactly what I wanted to duplicate, so I began hunting Uno kids, since Uno is 13 and Metin is of course gone. I'd just about given up when I purchased Veronika http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2257371-veronica-von-der-prinzenbruecke, who is heavily linebred on the pair that produced both Metin and Uno.

Then, I stumbled upon Dora, who had been living in a pet home in Germany. Daughter lost interest in SchH was the reason for sale, so I snatched her up within hours of hearing about her, after some fast yet thorough checking into her dam's side. I was not disappointed in the least.

The plan is to use her in my master plan to clone Capri, of course, lol. For her first litter, I chose Bravo vom Eisenherz, HOT IPO3, and this is the result (I do not believe Dora carries for coats, so no coats here): http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2394363-j-litter-vom-eisenherz . Bravo is jokingly referred to as "Capri with hair extensions." He is extremely similar to her in many ways, phenotypically, though much calmer and easier to control in certain aspects- this is what I wanted to keep with the breeding to Dora, while still stacking the deck in favor of Capri-type dogs.

The pups are now 2.5 weeks old and ugly as can be. This is 5-3 on Etzel and Hera, combo that produced both Metin and Uno, however, Bravo's sire side and Dora's damline are different enough that I am not backmassing on all the same dogs over and over up close. I'm quite comfortable with it and pretty excited about it. Drive should be super, temperament extremely sound and level-headed, and structure should be excellent. Dora is as hardy and robust as Capri in the health department, so that's hugely important to me. Sick of hearing of GSDs dying at 10 after 2 years of going downhill. Capri, who turns 9 this spring, isn't slowing down. Hoping to bring in enough of the tried-and-true Stadtfeld stuff without tooo much bottlenecking. I know of no real skeletons in either closet so fingers crossed in that department. It could all blow up in my face, though. LOL

Most accurate photo of Dora I have.

Another thing I love about Dora is her size. True middle to upper middle-sized bitch. Dora only weighs 64lbs. Built very solid. I've had some really large dogs out of Capri, which I blame primarily on her sire's side, and while the agility is amazing and they aren't hindered by their size, I don't strive to breed super large dogs, so hopefully Dora's size can serve to moderate some of that, especially when bred to Capri kids.

Next to her is Mojo. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2053842-dallas-vom-eisenherz
