"you [Mac] started this thread this is the decline of the gsd week nerve but yet you want to push on and give her more time to settle nerve is nerve she should have even want to protect herself but nothing as people have said she might do sport or a good family dog either way if she does not want to work i would not put her under that strain when she is happier chasing a ball"

Yogi, you are a good dogman, thinking of the dog's needs before your wants.

i would never push any dog in a situation they did want to be in is hart braking to see a dog shit itself and then look a you wondering why that just happened 2min before she trusted you in a new space and then al of a sudden the space and people around her lose her confidence not for me that why only certain dog can do this job and lots of dog can be your pet .been a pet is not a decline in the dog because the world needs them to just know what you have and respect you dog limits then their an not be a decline in any dog

Duke, very nice civil work. I like the stealthy approach, then when decoy is within certain range the decoy very subtly issues a challenge with body posture. The use of hands inward extended allowing for very close" real bite" and jaw clanking, there is so much good stuff in the way this dog is being worked....not the only xcessive prey movement from equipment, whips, and running....it's an art that I seldom see utilized in sport clubs anymore.

Duke, that handler needs to learn how to post. That's no way to hold a dog during protection work. :p

Well we don't see it much anymore in our area because there are not many of our sports dogs that could handle that type of provocation.

Thanks for sharing Duke. I did not have time to count your fingers. Any missing? Teeth Smile
