I am feeding Orijen Adult chicken and/or fish to my 10 year but I also feed raw so don't know that you can compare.  He goes back and forth fine. He has a beautiful coat.  Also plenty of energy still wants to go go go! His teeth are beautiful.  I do supplement with Phytoflex daily , fish oil and coconut oil randomly.  I use a supplement for my Border Collie calle TDC-1 She is my agility dog so I use it for joint support but it is also for teeth !!  She has crappy teeth in spite of her raw diet.  It is made by Elite ScienceVet.  It is gel cap you cut the top off squeeze it on their gum line and it is good for healthy gums and cleans their teeth!  I actually brush True's teeth with it.  Her teeth are much improved.  It is getting rave reviews by the agility community by by people and people using on their dogs. I do not use it on my shepherd because his teeth are fine and I use the Pyto Flex for joint support

My older guy also has TERRIBLE teeth so thank you Lyn for that info on TDC-1  I am going to look into that also for both teeth and joints,  he is currently getting Arthroplex (by Thorne) which helps the joints, teeth have gone to hell.  Tried that Zeba II spray for teeth and that did not work, have tried brushing also, best I have found is Nolvasan teeth/gum cleaner, seems to help a little but doesn't take off built up tarter which he has.  Will also look into Phytoflex.  He won't eat coconut oil, does OK with Salmon/Vit E capsules for joint health/inflammation.

But always interested in what people use to help these guys out, especially the seniors and any successful preventative maintenance.  Thx  again,  Nan

PS:  Have fed raw for 4 l/2 years but want to add some kibble for simplification so will see how it goes.  Nan

Thats is why I added kibble as well.  Also easier for travel.  I also started brushing my girls teeth with the TDC-1 will let you know how that goes if it gets the tarter completely off.

Thankyou, I would love to hear if it took off old tarter;  really hesitating putting my boy under AGAIN for dental although he does need it.  Kind of interesting that they use this stuff for joints and peridontal problems??  How does that coincide?  Not sure but hope it works.  Nan

6 fish Orijen;  so far so good.  Just adding water and feeding kibble in AM;  still raw for PM.  Thx to all.  Nan  Any more comments welcome though...
