I wonder where Orijen will find the same quality ingredients in the US.

I heard one comedian say I will worry what my dogs food tastes like when it stops drinking out of the toilet. I always seem to have at least one picky eater. one is on almost all Raw because that's about all she will eat

And worry about it when they stop eating their own stool too, Reggie. Thank heavens I'm not dealing with that anymore, but 2 of my 4 GSD's and many of my other dogs engaged in that habit.

I have all of my dogs on Orijen Adult, including my puppies.  I tried Acana, but it only has hald the amount of Glucosamine, so I switched back. Most of mine do very well on it. The one dog it doesn't seem to agree with, I'm considering trying soemthing else - but don't know what I should try. She is new and I chalked it of to her not having adjusted yet, but I'm beginning to wonder..  . While it is very expensive, I also feed less and witth he breeder's program (free bag of food), I find it is not that much more than some of the other better kibble brands. Adult, however, is their chaepest formula, I believe. I agree with Koach -  will it be the same quality if manufactured in US??

Also, does any hone have a problem with urine odor and dead grass? I do not recall these issues before feeding Orjen.

I don't know what I'd do with a picky eater. Here, I have locks on all my cabinets. Wondering

Spruell, how long have you been feeding Orijen to puppies, and do you mean you as a breeder, or you as an owner and you raise them from puppyhood into adulthoodon Orijen?

I can cure a picky eater in 2 weeks or less and so can anyone else. However, it is offensive to many dog owners to let their dogs get good and  hungry, so I won't go there LOL.

My girl was on the Orijen LBP formula until she was 15-18 months (if memory serves me correctly).  I was going to switch to adult around 6 months but opted against it after talking at length to the owner of the store and Champion.  I think the two deciding factors for me was the kCal and protein inthe LBP formula was better than the adult forumla.  Again, my memory could be wrong as this was a few years ago.  She was on the Orijen Adult Chicken and then decided she didn't want to eat it any more sooooooo we switched to the Regional Red about a year ago and she loves it.  I only feed 1 c in the am and 1 c in the pm with no issues.  Her coat looks phenomenal (very shiny and glossy).  Thankfully, I can switch her food without having to phase in the new food which I had to do when I forgot her Orijen on a recent camping trip and had to make a mad dash to the store in the middle of nowhere to buy another grain free food (Taste of the Wild).

I did think about looking into Acana just from a cost perspective since it's basically the sister company of Orijen.  I can't wait until I purchase my 10th (or is it 12th) bag and get the next one free with the frequent buyer program?

I use Orijen in my rotation Love it.  I use all meat flavors fish, turkey, and the Red.  I also just tried the raw (dehydrated) for my 2 smaller dogs.  They love it.  I like it because I can use a little of that and mix in some raw meat or meat/bone mix with it.  It is also great to have a dehydrated food to travel with.  I like primal too. The dehydrated is too expensive to feed to my big GSD IMHO. but for my little Border Collie and Papillion it woorks great!

A little off topic.... So a friend of mine decided to switch her dog over to Orijen Six fish a while back based on what she had heard and read regarding the product. What she failed to mention to people when she talked to them is that she Free Feeds her dog meaning she just dumps the food into a self feeder and forgets about it until the feeder is empty :) man o man was she surprised when she came home the following day as the smell of the food hit her in the face as she opened her door from the garbage into her house.... I think that is the stinkiest formula they make

@ Cutaway......LOL......that's funny. Yes it is very stinky,.....not as stinky as canned cat food but still stinky.
