Molly is correct, Why should a Dog be bred from just because it has titles, there is more to it than that ,So much more to look into
We cannot wonder there are so many unwanted dogs with that way of thinking
And a neutered dog can compete with the rest, nothing to stop it getting titles but its handler and the dogs own abiltiy

It's a sport if you want to train and trial go for it and enjoy yourself and your dog. Having a title doesn't mean the dog has to be bred from, some people just enjoy the sport.

First and foremost go out and enjoy your dog,

If your dog can go out and do the work, then by all means do it..

Your first dog will be a learning experience.  You will make mistakes, But you will learn, You will learn  from a dog that will make you work somewhat harder.  You will learn what traits you will want in your next dog.  You will learn about drives and why a dog behaves in certain ways.  Hopefully you will then be a bit better educated about where and where not to get your next dog from.

One thing I have learned the people you want to listen to are the ones out working with their dog, trialing and training.  The atmosphere are most clubs is MUCH different that what you see on the web.  People who boast of skills that they do not posses are much more transparent when they are in  the presence of others who know what they are doing and talking about..

I have a dog that when I started people made some pretty negative comments about. Most of these people were not the most knowlegable people.  I had some others who are more gifted trainers tell me there where things they liked in my dog, some of the same things I saw.  As time went on some of these people who gave me greif  in one way or another went by the wayside.  The dog is now a Sch3/IPO3 AWD2 Fh.  We never got the greatest scores but we had a great time.

Go out and enjoy yourself

Jeff exactly right, the people who help me never down the Dog it is me the handler they tell to wake up and listen
On a bad day i had less grief when i was in the school class when i was a kid, for they do not hold back on there comments but not in a nasty way straight forewards and to the point, and with a lot of other Guys and Girls watching and listening you have to have a thick skin, and i take it as it comes for it is fo my benifit, anyway i am a mild sort of Guy at best

My dog just earned his SchH1, he is neutered.  Did not affect drive, courage or anything else.  Go out and have fun
