Xeph

by Xeph on 23 July 2009 - 03:07

Y'know, SOME of us like to have a multifaceted dog in our Amlines :p

I have a new bitch, got her on a co-ownership.  Is she everything I want in a bitch?  No.  But no bitch I BUY will be.  I have to breed and create what I think is correct as per the standard.

That said, this girl impresses me, and I did a LOT Of searching and checking before I chose her.  Her WORST quality is that she can be a bit defensive.

I also consider how different I can make her look when I stack her.

When showing in AKC all breeds, I keep her looking moderate, as they don't want extremes:
\

Specialties I try to stack her in a more extreme manner, becaue they want to see ANGLES:

But you know, I'm the dumbass that tries to remain unkennelblind, and happily discusses what she believes needs to be fixed in her dogs :p

And look!  She gaits off her FEET!:

How about that!  What's her name, Xeph? I really like her!

Kaleef's Serendipity v Kenlyn, but I call her "Delphi" :)

She is OFA Excellent
Elbows Normal
She had a Thyroid panel run too and that turned out normal/clear

She is here in the database if you want to look at the pedigree, and all of her OFA results are in the database :)

Xeph, did you get this bitch through Sheree, Ken or Jimmy.  I think Ken, but you tell me.

Sheree is KALEEF, Before her there is no top breeding's from KALEEF, which with your incredible knowledge of the AM. S/L, I am sure you know.

Here is my point. The very first AKC Champion that Sheree finishes, before she is KALEEF, is Ch. Silstra's Drogeda.

This bitch is owned with guess who, ole RIK. Sheree and I finish other GSD  and Corgi together.

Also breed many dogs together.

She is my oldest and dearest friend in the GSD. I love her very much, even though I go German and she rises to the top of the Am. GSD world. Even you boast of her breeding.

Sasha, our first GSD CH. is an incredibly "tough" bitch and also very intelligent.

So, this is what I find so incredibly stupid about you.

You know nothing of the Am. S/L. You know nothing of the German S/L and when given the opportunity to learn, you, your equally ignorant buddies,SunSilver and Uber, choose to throw that experience into the face of one who offers it. again I say

When confronted with incredible ignorance, I act incredibly ignorant.

Xeph. here is an example of your incredible stupidity and utter ignorance of the  Am. S/LGSD.

You are an an authority on Am. S/L So much so that you dispute not only me, but also the advice given me by Bill Leonard, Estahaus Kennels.

Yet in looking at your pet bitch, (who by the way will never finish AKC Championship) I see that she is descended from Sundance Kid, who dispute your complete ignorance and stupidity, is descended from "TOM VON ESTAHAUS"

Sorry, but until you post evidence contrary, you are ignorant of GSD and also very stupid as concerns the GSD, either Am. or German S/L.

Again, I say that Bill Leonard , Estahaus Kennels, is the very top talent I have ever met concerning German/Am. S.L GSD.

Unfortunately, he is also the top asshole I have come across in 35 years of AKC showing.

When confronted with incredible ignorance, I act incredibly ignorant.

Rik, I see Tom v. Estahaus NINE generations back in Serendipity's pedigree. Please explain to me how a dog that far back has any influence at all on her structure?? That would be quite a stretch!  (LMAO!)   I can, however, clearly see the influence of Dallas (my own bitch's grandsire) in her colour and structure. And yes, Dallas gaited off his feet, too.

I have seen the videos of the Estahaus dogs on their website. It was the first time I'd ever seen a German SL dog gait on its hocks. This same dog also had weak pasterns, and the pastern was totally collapsing with each stride. I was NOT impressed!  To be fair about it, it was just the one dog, and their other dogs gaited normally.

When confronted with incredible ignorance, I act incredibly ignorant.

You forgot to add: "And then wind up having to apologize for it the next day!"

Do you have a drinking problem, Rik?  As someone who's been around the net a bit, and had the thankless job of moderating for a number of years,  I've seen this happen fairly frequently. Keyboard warriors who drink during the evening, post stupid, insulting things, then wind up having to apologize for them the next day, if they haven't already been banned or suspended!

I'd better quit now, and go do something more productive with my time. I rarely get nasty or vindictive when posting, but you're really starting to irritate me!

Rik is welcome to insult me if he likes.  It's his perogative :)  I don't claim to know everything, nor do I claim that I will eventually know everything.

Am I ignorant?  Of course I am.  We all are.  If we weren't we wouldn't learn a damn thing.

I liked the looks of Bill's dogs....wanted one of them.  Until I e-mailed him, asked him about health, and was told his dogs had no health issues because they were primarily German lines (I called Bullshit and let that possible puppy purchas go).

Rik can be an asshat all he likes.  I've dealt with enough of them in this breed that vitrolic rhetoric like his no longer bothers me.  Some people will like my bitch, some people will LOVE my bitch, some people will HATE my bitch, but the point is that she's mine, I love her, and I'll work with what I've got.

By the way Rik, Delphi has 7 points towards her championship ;)  Tell the judges that she won't finish, because she's doing ok so far xD.  I'd like to know what made you decide she won't finish.

Also, she did not come from Jimmy, nor did she come from Kent (I assume you meant Kent Boyles).

And if you think you're being intellectually facetious by telling me I know a ton about showlines, and then telling me I'm stupid, well...that's just funny.  I know I can't be both.  I know I know my American lines.  Perfectly?  No.  That's what studying is for.  I study the German side of things too (show AND working).

But, you're welcome to continue your tirade on your piss pot if you like :)  No one's going to stop you.  Just don't be bitching when the "Oldies" are ruining the breeds because "newbies" don't want to stay around and deal with your spite.

I think the dogs and I are going to do some training now.

Sunsilver, Tom has no influence on her structure. If so, she would be a much better structured dog. Where did I say that. Unless I'm mistaken. I said this kennel is very prominent in the Am. S/L pedigree.

It is no crime to be ignorant. To choose to remain ignorant is however the pinnacle of stupidy. Which is where you stand.

Good for you!

Well done, Xeph!  I wanted to tell Rik he was 'full of it' when he said your dog wouldn't finish, but thought that had better come from you. I've seen bitches with much worse structure get their championships, and I think Delphi is REALLY nice!

Now, I really must go do something useful.  It's raining out there today, so I doubt I'll get much training done, but at least I'll get the dog hair vacuumed off the rugs!
