Now take a look at this picture - he is 5 weeks and 5 days and already 9.5 pounds, are you going to tell me he was born overweight, if so - I never heard such bull-crap in my life.

This is my last post to this nonsence. I have a German Shepherd... your dog is a big dog that looks like German shepherd.
I am Happy for you I wish you all that you want in this puppy. I hope that this dog is going to have the temperament to do what your expectations are. I could never use this dog.
If I wand a guard dog. I will find myself  a breed that would do the job. There is Fila Brasiliero, Cane Corso, Beorbell, Bandog.. Asian Sheep dogs.. There is tons of dogs that do not need to be oversized and bred for somebodys EGO.. they will do the job and are already big ( or I can get a pack of mean puudles) just a joke.
We had border collies to herd the sheep, couple of heelers to help with the cows and a bull. German shepherd that did a bit of everything. And st bernard that patrolled with Kuvac around the property at night.. I pick a dog I do not try to srink my St Bernard nor breed it to be 240 pound dog. I do not try to get bigger border collie cause she does not need to be. I do not like to shring or make giants out of breeds that already have their use just fine.I do not need to do that. If you are happy with your dog.. be happy.. Do not try to convince me about your giant dog's perfect something. He is HUGE and he has some junk in the trunk.. whetrer you like it or not. Even your "standart GSD is a bit overweight". Are you going to try explain to me that your 7 years old is jut HUGE boned? This is comical.
Good luck

Shtal
This is my final post on this thread, but just to try and get you to understand the meaning of over weight in a Dog
Take a look at your standard German shepherd dog in the Pic, then look at the size of the Dogs head in relation to its body, that alone will tell you it is over weight the dog is out of proportion, and that is due to being overweight
But you will not listen to anyone, and why do you want size in a guard dog, anyway we are all wasting our time with this thread, good luck in what you are trying to find

I have no choice but to respond.

7 years old dog is not huge, please don't make up stories, I just used him as an example for comparison with puppy, since he meets GSD specifications standards.

You are also thick headed,
If you take a 12 years old boy that is big and tall as 16 years old boy, he is not overweight but simply just very large boy for his age.

If a boy is 150 pounds at 5 feet tall - that is overweight, but if a boy is 6 feet tall at 150 pounds that is not going to be overweight, but simply very large boy for his age.

He looks normal to me 79 pounds he is.

He went through dog fights many, many times in his life, especially with Saint Bernard at 250LB's, he grabed him by the neck and started chocking him and Saint Bernard fell on the ground, and my brother used a stick to put in his mouth to free up Saint Bernard, my puppy will be new replacement in the future as a Guard Dog.

Steve,

Now take a look when my 7 years old dog used to be 4 years old.

Here is the picture with a female, and he was about 3 or 4 years old when he took down Saint Bernard....

Steve, how are you going to explain when my puppy was born, he was the biggest pup I ever seeing German Shepherd produce in the history. If you will not respond then it it means I put you to the corner. :)

This size pup price range $1500 - $2,500 US dollars.

Also, take a look on this webside: don't tell me it's not true

http://www.pcgermanshepherds.com/our-story/

This is what it says about my pup that I have:

Other than the lines stated above, there happens to be another line called the old-style German Shepherd. Our goal, as breeders of this line, is to simply bring back the German Shepherd dog to the way it was before. We aim to produce a line of GSD that looks and acts the same as its first ancestors. The old-style German Shepherd differs from the regular German Shepherd simply by its sheer size. The newer GSD is around 24-26 inches tall. The old style German Shepherd dwarfs them by four or more inches. An old-style German shepherd is about 30-33 inches in height and weighs around 110- 140lbs. The features on the face are the same with regular German Shepherds, but the old-style dogs have larger heads, straight backs, big bones and no extreme angulations on the legs, giving it a noble and more poised look.
