"Practicing incest"???? Are you serious, Brittany??? Illegal and immoral??? I guess I missed the part where we stopped talking about dogs.

Brittany

Letting brother and sister mate with each other is in fact incest :) I assume you support breeders that does this, Jenni? If so why?

Thank you Hundmutter and GSD Lineage for the clarification.

GSD Lineage... I think this picture shows pretty true to hue,  the actual "blue" dilute color of black on my dog. At ten months, I can see the banding and the receding "blanket" begin to take on the classic saddle pattern. It isn't always easy to photograph and capture what I would call correct color perception or definition.

Did someone call me... ugly? OMG!

This is interesting, same picture of both dogs, one...B & T, the other Blue & Tan, but when seen in black and white... the actual value (degree of diluteness) becomes much more obvious, yes? You can see how his pattern is going to be changing. I think any way!

Damn just can't help myself. Incest=people inbreeding=animals. Why is it illegal? To whom? Why is it immoral. If you think about yourself you're digging your own hole here--if it's illegal to breed bro-sis then I think it's illegal with the sv to breed untitled dogs. A BH is not a title. And it's illegal to breed dogs with KNOWN HEALTH ISSUES.......................And as far as your comment about this being my first time to inbreed let me tell you something miss know everything------I got my fist gsd in 1986--it is now 2013--in that time I have bred 5 litters of gsds and 1 litter of gsd/mal crosses. So 6 litters of dogs in about 30 years. Man I'm pumping them out you guys. I was raised in a kennel--setters that hunted--not had long silky hair like the show dogs--they looked like true field dogs, like they should. My first mentor was a LEO K9 handler and breeder. In Dallas I did bitework with George Theriot. His daughter, Susan had a Sc h3 bitch and I got a puppy out the first Quint von Barutherland litter they got out of him. Would you like me to post some articles in the papers about me and what I do for mankind in my community? No cause that's too much info for your little brain. And if you think I'm a lier, ask Hexe, ask Bitzen, ask Hundmutter and Workingdogz--they've seen the articles. I've done more than you'll ever think about. And sure I know I'm nobody in the dog world, but I'm smart enough to hook up with someone who has sense enough to build a strong line where the dogs are not only beautiful. Sure we're not out getting ScH titles but we're producing SAR, service, drug, health tested, super smart dogs .............So find smeone else to bug because I am going to keep right on doing what I am doing--I've proved our lines and I'm ready to add the spark that I think wouldbe the icing on the cake--a total outcross by the way.
Kitkat why are you counting backwards? You might as well join Brittany in her rant against me.
And for anyone's info hint hint I can dislike my own posts--I don't need anyone to do it for me.............My real Chickasaw name in English means Come Quickly Woman. Gotta stay on my toes.......................

Vonissk.....................

by Blitzen on 11 May 2013 - 21:05

Yes, I saw the articles Vonissk has talked about here. She has done a great job wth her dogs and has bred very little. Brittany, why don't you tell us what YOU have done to help promote the breed in a positive way? We're listening.................

Inbreeding is widely accepted in most of the the dog world where it is not considered incest; that is a human term.

Yep, Brittany, I can support Von Issk also, she is respected in her
community and by SAR etc people around her.  As she says, she
has been involved in dogs for a very long time; and knows full well
what damage could be done by regular, careless inbreeding, but
that is not what she was talking about with her last litter.  Like a lot
of very experienced dog people, she knows it can be useful sometimes;
and if you think about it, there really is no law to stop it, just advice
from the Kennel Clubs (who are trying to talk to the lowest common
denominators of this world, the sort of 'breeders' who WOULD do it
"willy nilly".)

Lineage and Bee, thanks for those photos, they illustrate Blues
very well;   and Bee, that was a great idea to juxtapose the black
& white copy of the same pic of Blue and Mojo.Dog
