Staatsmacht, I'm not scared to linebreed tightly, at least with my stock.  But, I really just don't see how a dog is supposed to mate WITH ITSELF (1-1).  That is, unless you consider a 1-1 to include a full sibling breeding on "X-litter", which is technically a 2-2 on each grandparent.

@darylehret
it is than also a 1-1 line breeding,also with dogs out of a repeat breeding you would get a 1-1 line breeding.

i have not make the rules for that!!!

so is 1-1 a brother-sister mating?

Fine, you can call that a 1-1 if you wish, but a 1-2 father/daughter inbreeding is actually tighter, of a higher coefficient of inbreeding.

http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/breeding.result?father=697589&mother=609405OK here is the pedigree for my puppies.   I always thought it would be a 1-1 but I notice on the pedigree the closest linebreeding is 2-2.

i do not call it a 1-1 line breeding , a normal standard pedigree would call it a 1-1.

@vonissk
that what you have is a 1-1 line breeding.

My female Ultra with SV pink papers is a 2-1 Assi-Franka Staatsmacht line breeding. Assi and Franka are full sisters, not litter mates.
do not know how to copy it in here or i would do it.

A brother sister breeding is in-breeding and a father daughter is a line breeding.

is it more likely the dogs will be sterile with such a close-breeding? or is that not affected by closeness alone?

by Paul Garrison on 17 April 2013 - 00:04

Gusmanda

It is possible for it to effect their reproductive system, but not more likely. What is does in a simple form is magnifies the qualities and the faults in the gene pool.
