LOL, it was very obvious. And the bias against the "tiny but mighty" breeds..... they are allowed on the PDB, lol, they work hard at being cute.

It is pretty simple to get to whatever forum, or section of the site, you want to. What about when all the recent topics were right wing political BS posted by someone with the screen name sitasmom?

I understood that the Rescue forum created was primarily created for GSD rescues.
I am all for rescues, but I see where Sitesmom is coming from. It seemed like yesterday, this site got an extreme push and flood for non-GSD rescues. We can't save them all (trust me, I would be 1st on the bandwagon if we could). I might have actually opened the door when I posted about the Shar-pei puppies.
All this said, I am not sure how this could be handled. Maybe some should NICELY explain to the person that did all the rescue threads yesterday that we are primarily focused on GSD rescues.
Again, we all want to save every dog we can, but there either needs to be limits (reality folks) or maybe a separate website (which defeats the purpose of the rescue forum in the first place). As the rescue places we are working with primarily, if not only, handle GSDs, I think we should limit the rescue forum on this site to GSDs.
This is all IMHO and I am sure I will get plenty of feed back.

Balance my ass SitasMom. What kind of person crabs about trying to save dogs that will for sure die without help? Now that's unbalanced. If rescue posts bother you, don't read them. And to think a friend of mine almost bought a dog from your kennel Rallhaus. So glad he didn't.
I seem to remember an earlier SitasMom post in which she joked about some small dogs that were badly abused. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Incredible. Admin have it....if you aren't interested in the rescue posts just look at the forums you are interested in, skip the latest posts method, (mind you, how hard is it to skim over the latest posts headed up 'rescues' ? 
) BUT.....if you struggle with that, or for some reason it really bugs you - skip to the forums you are really interested in. It's a sad day to my mind......
Fawn I can't in all conscience say that GSDs should take precedence over other dogs, so can't agree with you. They all deserve their chance and I just don't get why it should bother anyone for the above reasons. I for example never look at off topic or chat, it just doesn't interest me. If I am not interested I don't look, it's that simple.........isn't it?

Having a rescue secting is a good thing, but abusing it takes away from this board.

Listen there is no way we can limit this site to GSD rescues only..This is an all breed forum. I personally have a special place in my heart for GSD, but heck I could not imagine being put off because someone had the heart, compassion and mercy to flood the rescue forum with dogs in need...I can not wrap my head around that thinking,,,I agee with jonrob.."balance my ass"...Take one look at those faces and tell me there is no room!!..
We could however put a stickie on each specific breed forum for rescue posts ..This way someone looking for a particular breed to rescue would know were to look,,,
