There was another thread on the hobo lines stating the sire was a white and the dam a B/T. Is that true?

Lineage, thank you SO much for that old link! I've been looking EVERYWHERE for that picture of Hitler and the reverse-masked GSD! It's one of the few I've seen that mimics the Littlest Hobo markings so closely! Too bad it's a black and white photo, so we don't know fior sure about the colour.

Your Welcome,
Over Time I have found this color and pattern is not exclusive to Littlest Hobo, the GSD or Malamute or Wolf either.
I also think some long hair breeds have the pattern but it looks different with long hair.

GSDlin: Yes , as I use to breed Parti color Cockers and the breedings kept totally red/white to Blk /white and the Tri has the same mask effect also,

Do not have my pics on this computer but will post Bunko who is an example of the masking in the cocker lines or Parti Color cocker show lines,

The American cocker spaniel on our database has very little participation,,,I found this one which is not facing the camera well

Here are my two       One is a Chocolate Tri and other just blk./white parti....Mask must for show be consistant on both eyes  with two dots of red, over eyes and slight on cheek and  under the tail and that is all for a Tri....

None of those are what I would consider reverse masks.  A reverse mask to me is something like Lord Gleisdreieck had

Xeph is thinking this maybe: Dark head top with lighter face

Sunsilver's Tasha and the dog Flite are what I would consider to be reverse masks vs open faced or barred dogs

Xeph, I have always thought of the term reverse mask in the same way.
