Thanks guys for all the advice and support. So I have not heard back from her since I sent the email. I gave her a deadline till the end of Sunday 2nd December to respond, or the offer will be off the table. She hasnt responded as yet so I guess I will leave it at that until she decides to contact me. Feel bad for the puppy though, would have preferred having her in my care.

Thanks again,
Mav

Mav, that's too bad. Poor puppy. I'd keep trying. It may take a while.

Rik, sadly, it could be because they are full of it and don't want Mav to know they're full of it, so the pup is "evidence," if you will. I know you know that and it was a rhetorical question....

Beetree, you're one strange bird. I'd swear you were a man, with all the undue interest you seem to pay me.   Omg Smile

Jenni, maybe you should quit while you're ahead?

by Blitzen on 04 December 2012 - 14:12

Sorry you didn't get the puppy back. Placing puppies is not much fun sometimes.

by beetree on 04 December 2012 - 14:12

Heh, heh, heh!

No one would ever mistake me for a man! LOL

Golly, Jen? Hasn't your lawyer contacted  you? I can help you with that..... in case he hasn't got around to it yet?

Thanks for the grandmotherly advice, Bitzen, but Bee's incessant typing of my name is beyond bizarre. Do I bring Beetree into a large percentage of my posts? I think not. I have perfect strangers asking me who s/he is and wondering why she does this. I just tell them the truth- I don't know who she is- she's one who chooses to remain totally nameless and anonymous,( like yourself), and for some reason, her life is lacking and she's chosen me to focus her interest on. Hey, wait, I think they might call that cyberstalking,Omg Smile LOL! I've never been the "good girl" type who just sits quietly so as not to make waves. Sorry to disappoint.

Beetree, stop screwing up other people's serious threads with your insanity. You need to quit alluding to things to make yourself sound important and "in the know."  Just tell the straight truth for once- it's not as exciting as making snide remarks so that people think you have some Earth-shattering news, but it will feel good.  I guess it's like a movie preview- you string little snippets together to get people wondering what it's all about...when really, when you actually watch the movie, it wasn't anything major at all, rather disappointing, really.  Read a romance novel or something instead. Best I can tell, you're a bored, middle-aged woman who won't share her name or any personal details with the board (your prerogative, just stating a fact) who therefore has about zero credibility, has never met me or likely anyone who knows me, and just likes to create controversy. I hear Fifty Shades of Grey is popular among your demographic.

I'm going to work now. For shame, I will miss all the cyber-excitement in favor of real world daily life.

Maverick, sorry for the derailment. I feel for you. I know the worry and the frustration when it comes to your puppies. If you're like me, you worry about every single one of them. When you have a looney on your hands, you really worry. I've been very fortunate in the numbers game and am friends with almost every person I've sold a puppy to, but it doesn't take the worry out of it. I really would keep trying- money talks. They either want money or attention or both- hopefully it's money. Greedy types are easier to manipulate than the ones that are flat out nuts. There was a breeder on here a few years ago who had a problem w/a buyer and I sided with the breeder. That buyer sends me threatening emails to this day- she's nuts.  They're out there. Take care.

Um, Jenni, you poor muddled thing!

Seems to me, you keep bringing up my name on this thread!

by Blitzen on 04 December 2012 - 14:12

Never mind...apologies to the OP.

Maverick- I do not breed dogs but operate my own business we make sure we keep all emails, correspondence, etc document them keep them in a file. Do not refund 50% as others have said pay back full amount get rid of this mess and move on. If you pay back 50% I would not be surprised if they come after the rest. That is one good thing about emails you can print and throw into a paper file for each puppy you sell for future reference.

Maverick:

  Stand firm!

Monday morning go to your local Post office and send same info on your NO REFUND UNLESS you send the puppy , and describe the pup, date of sale , receipt number or registration number, color etc and buyers full name address etc on the certified letter you are going to pay for buyer to sign when their  post office , or how ever you mail in your country delivers the letter to that said buyer..

THAT is called a legal certified mail or letter advising what you the Seller have made plain and she has to sign to receive it

THIS gives you proof...and the buyer signature upon receipt of the letter, proves that buyer got it..

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SEND  a legal  certified letter to that buyer...Buyer has already worked on you and if you do not send it, the buyer can full well say they never got your email

Just like people say the dog is not in good health and they can take any dog they want to a vet and the vet has no legal way of saying that dog was YOUR PUPPY>>>UNLEss THEIR IS A  TATOO  or a CHIP in that same puppy that you sold that buyer.

DO YOU understand why now  you have to cover your BUTT...not worry about the buyer...they already showed theirs...

NOW cover yourself , and  just send the letter and this is over for you...  Never take a buyers word that YOUR pup is ill or disfunctioned...ASKING for proof by document does not prove it is YOUR PUP YOU SOLD THEM>...YOU demand to always go yourself or have a representative of your choice to go to vet and examine pup using chip /tatoo , markings and photos...

WE all remember the case of OKLAHOMA     and   dogs at Vets offices and University Vets  involved in a revolving door of paperwork never able to prove which dog was where and they end up DEAD>

Sad sad  sad

Hope we all helped

YOU are doing the right thing..

GOOD LUCK

YR
