Amazing you even caught the stack with the camera. Each time Casey James is perfectly set up and I have the camera ready to roll, by the time the shutter closes, he is either gone, or the kodak moment is gone :( Pretty girl you have there :)

Thanks Majorie. :) I am lucky because she knows her 'wait' command well. I tend to get the best pics of her when we are in a high traffic area and something else catches her attention (in this case it was a couple other dogs) just long enough for me to snap the shot.

Get her really tired before trying to stack her. She will be more relaxed and have her tongue hanging out and a more open expression. That's what her breeder would say, anyway. He would also say you have her in very nice condition;-). I may know her too well, but I see a slightly irritated & bored and/or pensive dog who is just waiting to hear a release command and she's gone! On to bigger and better things than standing there like a statue!

The floating trot in the last pic is also nice and you're correct- it does convey nice movement.

Very nice photos...I like them both. Her head is more impressive and her ears are nicer than they appear in the second, but that's the angle as noted by EuroShepherd. The first one shows her more "true" as far as head shape, but I prefer to see their faces. Does this mean her baby stack pic is going away???Cry Smile

I'm only kidding....nice photos. Congrats.

One step at a time. Teeth Smile I'll go for the mouth open thing next time. Irritated and bored that I was trying to stack her, of course. I took her up to a big field near the dog park nearby to do some OB work with distractions. I figured she would be content to watch them while I tried to get my pic, before we started. For what its worth, she did well after we got going.

I'm glad you said she's in good condition. I mean I think she is too, but I'm used to seeing those darn pet dogs floating around... ;-) I just think she looks SO much like Durbas in his current photo, in that second pic. It's almost creepy! I c an see what you're saying about her ears being off and stuff... thats why I was having difficulties choosing between them.

And as for the last pic.... I just wish it would've been clearer and more level like the one before it. Figures I catch a black dog 'floating' in the shade!

The baby stack is still there, no worries! That is too cute to ever go away. Teeth Smile

Oh, and we're getting tested at that club *hopefully* to see if she'd have any fun doing some light SchH... if anything maybe just OB and Tracking. It'd be a learning experience at any rate (for me probably more than her). If she does not like it we obviously won't pursue it (learned that the hard way with showing my cat), but here is hoping. I just had way too much fun at that trial.

Beautiful girl!

Sounds like you had a great day! I have a black shepherd too, and I'm impressed if people can even recognize it's a shepherd, let alone what lines! lol

Have fun at the trial, they are fun to watch!

She used to like to steal the sleeve (more like he let her have it...shhh) from Caleb after bitework. If you let her watch a bit, I wouldn't be at all surprised if she decided she wanted to do what they were doing. She is a maniac of a tracker.

LMAO Keith!

Conspicuous - Thanks! Oh, I know what you mean. I'm always getting "What kind of dog is that?" or they'll try to guess and fail miserably. The worst we've gotten is "Is that a Scotty Terrier?" What Smile

Jen, I'm hoping... she's made it obvious she learns by watching others before. I'll never for get that time Chey came over wanting petted, and started rolling on the ground for belly rubs... Qira was watching a couple feet away, then walked over and face plants into the ground and starts doing the same thing Chey was, wanting pets. She still does it, LOL! God forbid someone else get pets and not her! Teeth Smile
