Feed her rice and hamburger for a few days.  If you need to, go with only rice.

It looks like he's back to normal, solid stool this morning, YOO-HOO!  Never thought I'd be this happy about a poo, LOL.  Just glad he's on the road to recovery, thank you for all of the advice.  I'll see the vet tomorrow, just to make sure he's okay.

I am glad he is ok, on road trips you never know what you find in the water or on the ground. Your vet did very good with choosing the meds they did. If that did not work I would have also chosen metronidazole also, for bacteria overgrowth. I have been enjoying your travels.
Always,
Cee

Yogurt is awesome. Plain, unflavored, of course. If I suspect my dogs have gotten into something, I will fast them for a day, let them get it out of their system, then give their kibble with a few tablespoons of plain yogurt. I have done canned pumpkin, too, it works well but I find the yogurt is more reliable.

So glad to hear he is back to normal!  Good luck in your travels and in finding your new home.

Sita and Hero send their salutations!

Are you still feeding canned fish? Does Duke get any kibble?

Reason asking is that if you're still traveling and your kibble was left in a hot car it can spoil, which could cause loose poops.

I keep a few cans of Science Diet ID on had at all times, it stops them up with one or two servings.......

Give Sita and Hero a hug from both me and Drake!  I am feeding Blue Buffalo, half canned/half kibble.  He wasn't eating the fish, was leaving it in his bowl.  I started the canned food and he eats every bite!  I'm not on the road now, looking for a permanent home, looks like the northern gulf coast of florida is the hot spot (pun intended).  Almost had a house and the deal fell through but have another on the hook, this one has a screened in pool!!  I have left kibble in the car but it's in a container, covered with some luggage and a portable crate, so it gets warm but not the high heat.  I never thought about it spoiling but that would be a possibility.  The vet said colon cells and blood usually mean it's diet related so he was concerned about allergies.  I was hoping that wasn't the case because I've finally gotten him back to eating well.  Anyway, I just finished the kibble and bought new tonight, so I'll make sure I don't store it in the car, thanks for the tip!!!

I read an article about feed going bad due to it over heating on docks, storerooms and in the garages of customers.

The preservative is very heat sensitive, and will break down very quickly, once that happens the food can become toxic......it doesn't matter if the feed is in its origional bag or in another container....

Hero used to be the poop king........I used to buy feed from the un-air conditioned feed store down the way. Now I buy the exact same feed (Tast of the Wild Bison and Venison) from Tractor Supply Company and I have not had a problem since. Blue Buffalo went straight through Hero.......within an hour! I had to go with a grain free feed for Hero and Mattie, no the whole pack is doing really well. Mattie gets only 2 cups a day, Vanna and Sita get 2 1/2 cups a day and hero gets 4 1/2 cups a day since he's still growing..........

Hero is almost 63 cm and is just beautiful. How that his tummy issues are gone, he is very, very ball crazy, just like his dear ole mum.
