I thought the question was going to be if you had to pick one, have a litter of puppies or have a baby which would it be - I have to say I'd pick the puppies :D

My beauceron girl had a litter when my daughter was about 4 mos old. She did a better job with 7 newborns than I did with 1! She managed to get some sleep :).

I haven't had a baby yet but based on the stories of what my puppies have eaten, pooped, vomited, or likewise destroyed my mom is always telling me that raising babies will be easier!

Ok, you eliminated the only good part of either, which would be keeping them. Having done both, I'd go with puppies. Babies are easier, but puppies are more fun. Both break your heart, anyway. I would have said pups because they are HAPPY & GRATEFUL to be by your side as they get older, whereas even good kids hit around 9 or 10....& just try to go anywhere with them & have them not be embarrassed by you. But of course you said no keeping...! jackie harris
