YR,
I don't know if my reaction is positive, I told my husband I should've buy a Chihuahua...
I also told my trainer that I don't want to train schutzhund anymore, I will go on with tracking and obedience, but no more biting work.  Even if my trainer told me biting work has nothing to do with what happened, I don't want to do that anymore...(so sad though I liked it !)
My husband is not home (military...), I don't feel much safe when I'm alone with the kids, maybe my dog felt it I don't know.  Anyway thanks.

Oddly enough, doing bite work with your dog would teach you how to handle your dog better.  Of course, if your dog has the right temperament to do SchH.  If you enjoyed all 3 phases of schH there is no need to stop.  You would learn a tremendous amount.

Don't give up bitework if you enjoy it. Doing bitework would not have made your dog growl at the kids. And bitework teaches the most important command you can have to save someone from a bite...."OUS!" Make sure she has a fool-proof ous. The more work you do with her, the more confidence you'll both have in each other. And Chi's can be nasty little buggers, too! jackie harris
