I've talked to one or 2 and no luck as of yet. I came to a realization today... I am not as young or physically fit as I used to be LOL.
I would really appreciate it if you passed it along. I'll talk to Richard tomorrow and see if he knows of anyone too.

Oh Melissa, that is such a wonderful thing. It doesn't make it hurt any less and as you said, it won't take the "sting" away when you see him working with his handler, but truly, you did a wonderful thing for the department and your community. Just imagine the PRIDE you will feel when you read/hear about him making a big drug bust or taking down a muder or rapist. That will surely bring tears to your eyes!

DDRCzechFan, Beau is gorgeous!! I am a sucker for a bi-color :)

I've raised a few dogs and sold to LE agencies and I was attached but not "fully" attached. I knew that they would be leaving
some day, and was always sad to see them go. Deuce was different because I had never intended for him to go anywhere, so
never felt the need to train with him leaving in mind.

I received an update from his handler just a little while ago. Apparently Deuce's endurance training has paid off and left his
handler amazed that he can go all day long. Deuce is in much better shape then he is. LOL He told me that Deuce has
adjusted phenomenally fast, without any hesitation and they're starting the Narc portion of their training on Monday. From
what I understand, most of their tracks are not for the bad guys, but for missing persons (and I believe this is the same with
many K9s, please correct me if I'm wrong). They do A LOT of demos for schools too. I'm already very proud and can't wait
for the day he's in the news, doing good things.

GSDguy08, your little guy is adorable too :) Looks like he's full of spunk!
