Oh, yes, Petra81, and where do you come by this information that this dog has a Körung awarded by the SV? There is no indication that the dog has a Körung on the owner's website, I can find no record of the dog having a Körung and the dog's HD/ED scores would seem to make that an impossibility. Would you like to tell us where this information can be found because if you are correct it is rather serious, don't you think?

As to the Schh title, well, a dog does not even have to be a GSD to be eligible to obtain a Schh title. That is a very separate issue from a Körung and HD/ED scores. As a poster on this thread has pointed out, it is not actually a death sentence for a dog to have unsatisfactory HD/ED scores (pace Indiana).  Whether it is wise for the dog to engage in a support with a lot of jumping is another matter. Most people who are serious about wanting to compete in schutzhund will take the precaution of checking that the dog has satisfactory HD/ED before investing too much time and energy in a dog. I doubt that the owners of this dog will want to take the dog any further in the sport now that his HD/ED status is known. That is not to say that he may not live a long and rewarding life.

Hi Jantie

Thank you for posting this elbow issue.   This is a concern as Uran has developed this problem through his generation, whether he has been used at Stud or not , people should note his lines
as this is a degenerative problem.  Parents, Grandparents  etc.   one of them has passed on this problem.  This is the same for any dog diagonised with elbow issues, his score is very concerning.

Peopel, Peopel chill out !

I can assure you that Jan did not choose to publish about this "particular" dog - he did it because it was brought to his attention that there was/is something wrong with the Hipps/Elbows.
I had a run in about the same thing, why do you point out this dog - simple, this dog was researched, do you have more info about other dogs - good publish it ! When it was realized that I would not do the homework for others, the next question was raised- why dont you warn about parents, sisters and brothers ? Give it a break, there was only 1 dog questioned in the beginning - that dog was checked - the result made public - finished ! If you have any further knowledge, present it - if you want to know about parents, sisters & brothers, do your research, if you see it as important enough, publish it. It's simple - do you really need someone else to do it for you ? Or is it maybe that you dont want to take the heat for it ? I really dont know.

Let me ask you something, and I strongly want to point out that this is MY opinion, :

Do you think it would have been possible for Team Marlboro Jaguar to be x-rayed here in Germany with an fraudulent outcome, or for his son Team Marlboro Harley to achieve Sieger if,

it would have been made public as it is done here with Uran ?

I dont think it would have happened. Yes I agree, one should be very carefull about what is written.

Furthermore, I agree, different countrys have different rules - do you really deem it ethical or right that a breeder or owner here sells/uses a dog that is banned from breeding here to a country where breeding is allowed with these animals ? If you really think that that is ok, I am really getting worried about our breed.

Last point I want to raise is, I believe that many peopel do not really know how much time & effort Jan puts into his research. I personally know that Jan nearby spends all of his spare time to do what he does, I can assure you, he spends more time doing this than most of us on the trainingfield.
Now one can like what Jan does or not - we are all grown ups, and should make that decision for ourselves. One thing that is simply not up for discussion is, when he presents facts, they are just facts - if they are wrong in your opinion proof him otherwise and he will change it or mark his thread, he will appologize, he will do what grownups do, or should do, in such situation.
Out of this reasons, I believe that there are many missunderstandings involved - some also because of the language barrier.

Anyhow, I would suggest, dont argue about why this or that dog is in the critique now - you should rather research or if you have some info that can be proofen let Jan know, or me, we wont mention your name, we will take the heat for you - not a problem.
Best Regards
Ulli
