Long Hair or Stock Hair - Please give your opinion - Page 5

No I never saw Bravos puppy pic till today but his broad muzzle, thick and big, and the shape of his overall head tells me , he was or is not a LC>

Here is a recent photo of my long coated girl. I think she has quite a nice stop and she doesn't have a long face either. Of course, being a rescue, I know nothing about her pedigree.

I was wrong, YR. You didn't post to it; you PM'd me instead. 

He's a good example of how confusing they can be. He is most definitely LSC.

Jenni, Bravo is stunning. Is his coat a liitle more plush than his littermates?

Your beautiful  dog above does have a much longer and slimmer side view nose than most of the bigger broader facial pups or dogs that are not coat.

Mahon looked at it too and agreed.

I cannot see her /his stop in that pic but as a pup they do not have much of one..They have a certain pie shape to them and that is key to telling..I learned it from sevaral breeders especially Mahon whose dad was an AKC judge german shepherd , in the 70's. He and his dad could tell a lc in every litter. He showed this to me when I met him a few years back and he was correct when I had him look at two of my litters...

Nothing to get upset about...having a longer slender nose longer and less full...Yours is a beautiful girl and her ear placement is wonderfully point on..

Is Bravos still alive/? Post a side view of his body..I do nt see any long hair on him at all..
I see plush coat and no long hanging hair to classify him as a long coat..

He is sitting and I see mane either or tuffs ..HE is so dark...Not disputting him but post a side view..

Starchar's girl is lc..

STOCK COATS come plush and very full all over but no long hair on backs of legs or mane or hair tuffs...

Bravos looks just heavy stock coat..

Of course I may be wrong on him...not saying I am correct  but need to see him standing sideways,

For all of you that give opinions, only the female 1 became coated.....the rest of the puppies are normal !!
