Yes, Connie is no longer breeding. She sold all of her dog's but kept Puck. She called me personally and asked if I wanted to purchase 1 of her females and explained why she was getting out of breeding after 17 years. If people want to know, then they should call her or email her.

She bred nice big pet dogs and sold them as pets I think. Gregg is correct in his statments for sure. She had 2 nice brood bitches years ago but I am sure they are well gone by now.

I won't call her dogs crap as I don't know them all personally and never worked them personally.  More important is that the people that got them are probably more than happy with what they have and they don't feel like their dog is crap and that is what matters most.

Show me a good dog and I can show your 3 trainers who think the dog is crap.  Does it mean anything?  No.

In a GSD world where breeders lie, sell anything to make a sale and what not I think she has more positive reviews than negative.  And to sit on here and basically talk shit from a safe place (i swear that is all the internet is good for these days)  is lame to me.  I hope that she is happy and less stressed.  Ive talked to her and almost bought a pup from her.  Very nice and kind woman on the phone and in the end I went with another breeder that was in my backyard.

With regards to breeders not titling/trialing their dogs and therefore don't know their stock to me is somewhat valid butt hen somewhat b.s.  There are a LOT of breeders that don't title and just b/c you title a dog does it mean that dog is great, fantastic.  It just means it passed a routine test, thats it.  Just b/c you go to college and get it a degree it doesn't mean that you're smart.

People on here seem to forget what a good dog is. "A GOOD DOG IS A DOG WHO SATISFIES ITS OWNER". I don't feed someone elses dog or buy from someone who I don't think has what I'm looking for. Its like the "WHERE ARE ALL THE REAL GSD'S" thread...lol. As long as a dollar can be made there will be people breeding gsd's that a lot of us will deem as "undesirable". It isn't effecting me none because I just "won't buy it". And don't fool yourselfs either people. There are many breeders here with "WELL KNOWN" titled stud dogs that advertise in usa magazine that will breed an "UNTITLED" female as long as the hips are certified and the owner has the "STUD FEE" money. I think the serious working line breeder who only brees the best to the best should be glad there are breeders breeding what they think are "UNDESIRABLE". If every gsd out there was wusv material they wouldn't be able to get the $2,000 - $2,500 price tag they get for there puppies. Lol. I'm out. Sincerely. Kurt. Vom Eisenhaus

I don't know Connie personally, but, over the years she has been generous and kind with her medical knowledge.  She is/was a nurse who worked with preemies, I recall.

I have corresponded with many people who were very happy with her pups.

It would be very hard to have a serious full time job, a family, a breeding kennel and go out to do schutzhund.  We all make choices about what we spend our lives on.

Pharaoh is closely related to her dogs and he definitely is NOT crap.

I Think its very stupid for ppl to base a dogs ability on titles my black lab mix can do a whole schIII obedience and just because I don't but I'm in trials make him crappy? Hell you. And there are lots of dog in the wold like mine pure or mix. So please base it on something else. And lots of ppl who got her dogs are happy the only bad thing I heard was about the hip thing first of all of her dogs don't got hip problems so don't act like every dog has it. Second every gsd had faults that had to be bred out of them so for all ya 'GSD experts' like of others said everybody don't got time to train hundreds of hrs on dog sports

K9mom...many dogs from Spartanville/Connie were structurally faulty...hips, elbows, etc.

Quality dogs cannot be produced out of sub-quality males and females.  Connie bought great males....who could not breed naturally.  Females with no ring...could not breed naturally.  Females 8/9/10 years old for breeding.  Dogs with half an ear missing, back problems and seizures.  This is all first hand information.  Greg and I saw it all.

Connie and I had a falling out when I explained to her...when you make it only about the money, it is the German Shepherd Dog who suffers!!

It doesn't cost any more to feed a good dog!
