Sorry Steve, What I was unsuccessfully trying to say is that if I have a dog, and the father, mother, litter, whatever, and someone is asking about one of these dogs, it is always ok for you to say that I have that dog, or a son or daughter ect ect. I am about freedom of info, good bad ugly. : )

I have no idea how you took that, and it just got worse. I was in a hurry when I typed it, so that didn't help.

Quote: any information on this dogs mother vaya? temperment? or ruth? just curious

He produced really hard headed dogs. LOL Ki Ki will run after a ball until she dies. She will hunt for the ball until she dies. She bites really really hard, and was late to mature.

I saw another dog from a different litter, and he was an ass. Always testing you to see if you would punk or not. Neither were beginner dogs.

I am starting to see this in Ki Ki's pups. The drive is going up and up and up. I figure by the time they are two, they will be pretty serious dogs. Right now, at 5 months, if you push them off of you, like when they jump up on you, you are in for a fight. They will come back twice, and then they start biting. I have a different program, so they jump up, and I tell them no one time. They jump up again, and they get a beating. Most have chilled out, I still have two that try me, both are female. This is all absolutely useless behavior. LOL I wish they would do some other stuff better instead of this crap. : )

To answer the OP's question, yes, Jason still owns the dog. He is in Illinois. He was imported titled to a 1 and never shown here. He is a very dominate dog and as Jason will tell you he's a little much for his handling ability. Jason has gotten out of dog sport but does still own Arras. Arras, IMO, is the type of GSD that Elmar Mannes talked about in his USA interview a few issues back. He's the type of GSD that needs to be bred. That way his genetics will be passed on. When you see the dog in person you see all the traits that the real GSD was bred for.

Yes the story of jason's missing finger tip is true. He had taken him to club shortly after getting him and hadn't built any relationship with the dog yet. Jason tried choking him off the ball. When the ball hit the ground Jason went to pick it up at the same time Arras went to get it.

Arras will be 10 this August and although Jason isn't in the sport any longer, and not advertising Arras for stud, he will stud the dog out to good females. He is still producing, as I can personally attest to.  6 pup litter.

As I expected, my Arras/Fenja litter is showing deep pigment, nice bone masculine heads and big drive and confidence. An awesome litter. It was a very uniform litter as well.

Just noticed that Jason has updated his phone number on his contact info. That is his current number.

She still is not "mature" HA HA

Elizabeth got her at 5 months and she was buck wild then. I have talked to the breeder, and she was not crazy for her. : )

She was bred to Esko. He has a similar pedigree, as far as it is all ring dogs on the fathers side. The pups go back to Half 5,5 5,5 so I wanted to see that breeding first.

Alfa van't Leefdaalhof was in our club. I have worked that crazy dog numerous times...solid black absolute neurotic dog....started eating her tail...owner cut it...would eat her litter if given the opportunity....some of the hardest grips I've seen on a female. No focus...hard as nails...no correction bothered her...she produced some nice pups! I worked a daughter of Alfa's...Caisy von Haus Targa...very nice bitch...excellent grips...she is/was owned by Dan Juros.
I also worked Zarah van't Leefdaalhof...a Vaya van't Leefdaalhof daughter. Very nice bitch...!!!

I have a half brother to Arras, Lazer v Landschaft SchH3 KKL1, mother an Asko Lutter daughter.  Also a very powerful dog, extreme grips, very fast for his size. Lots of trouble with control in trials, but overall wonderful dog.  Social , no handler aggression.  He could REALLY put a hurt on if he wanted to. Only one litter sired by him, I have a daughter.  She also has strong, confident temperament, wonderful grips.

Vaya van't Leefdaalhof's most accomplished litter was her Z litter....IMNSHO. Her D litter was sired by Drago vom Kraichgauzwinger who was also in our club for some time. Ruth van't Leefdaalhof produced the legendary Tom van't Leefdaalhof...and Tom..well you know!!!
