Dusty is also a Belgian army dog and has recently finished a tour in Afghanistan where he returns for a second tour of duty in February 2011!

Congrats to Ronny and Como. Great handler and now a 4 time World Champion with I believe 3 different dogs. Awesome!

Normally 11 years old would be too old for a World Championship, but in 1997 Heiko v. Cux showed for the US at the WUSV Championship in Belgium. It was his 7th time and he was 11 years old. There wasn't a dry eye in the stadium! He was an amazing dog! His handler Mary Joan Elliot was no spring chicken herself. They were an incredible team.

there are 2 dusty tiekerhooks. the older was born in 1999 and is 11 yrs old.........however, this is not the dog that competed in WUSV 2010. the dog belonging to julien clement was born in 2006 which would make him 4 yrs old. here is a link to his pedigree:
