Jeff,
You come across as an angry, bitter, mean-spirited person. To constantly refer to SL dog as "Sh*tters" really isn't necessary. All dogs and all people have value. It seems like you come on this board to spew out your hatred for the SL dogs. The poster simply asked a question and is looking for some answers. I am not saying that you don't make some valid points because we all know the average WL dog has more potential at Schutzhund than the showline SL dog and a low drive dog can be extremely difficult to work with, but haven't you ever heard of the word diplomacy? You can speak the truth and still be kind.

Depends on pedigree to a degree. I've bred a couple litters and the pups are on a rag at least by 4 weeks, but those pups were quick to mature. By 7 weeks I was ready to get rid of the little shits!
When did you get the pup? If you just got it, maybe nobody promoted drive. Seperate the pup especially when you are trying to play. Make sure there are no distractions and go buy or make a flirt pole. Some pups mature slower, but at 12 weeks, you should have some interest.
