Thanks Linda for your mention, and glad to see its all working for you - like you say no quick fix, but I think ALPHAPUP is giving brilliant sound advice.   Getting to a dog club is the goal, not the beginning.
How many dogs have I met with their owners that have been asked to stand out of class whilst their dog did the jumping up and down and going balistic routine.    First the control comes in, and the focus on the owner and a bit of understanding as to what is making the dog tick.  Then go for classes.   You need specialised help with this problem, and classes can only give you however much attention according to how many dogs are all being trained together, and in fact, you can raise the dogs anxiety and awareness by pressurising too much before its the right time.  You need a plan with the dog before you attempt classes.    Best of luck.    Mo.
