Thank you all so much for your lovely thoughts and messages, including lots by pm and email.   Your love and support has meant so much to me, as I am sure that I`m not alone with my tears when you have all gone through that too.

Tobe was special in himself, but also helped me nurse dad through his cancer, he was 12 mons old then, and dad was being nursed at home most of that time, when the week-end came, I had entered shows that I really felt I couldnt get to, but dad would tell me to get off, and "take my dog with you"   -  he inevitably would bring home a rosette or a cup, and dad would be really pleased, making out it was why he wanted me to go always saying  "see I know a good dog when I see one"  - when in fact, I know he just was giving me a time away to enjoy my hobby.

Those thoughts are the greatest a Toby was also the greatest to me.   He was such a surprise from the beginning, that I am going to ask Sheila if I can write how he came to be - as its quite amusing,   -  in the Nat Mag.     Thanks again all, I have appreciated every word.     Mo and all at Mascani

OMG Mo, i have been away in Germany all last week and only just scrolled down the pdb and found this.  I cannot believe that as i type i have tears running down my face.  I know how much he meant to you!  He was one of the most wonderful dogs i have ever had the pleasure of meeting and of living with for the 3 months he was with us.  What a character, a true ambassador of the breed and a true gentleman.  We loved having him for that short time, you have no idea.  He may not have been used extensively as some but what he has produced has most certainly left it's mark and no one can say that more than we can.  He is the sire of our 'Golden Goose' Mascani Holly, who is the mother/grandmother/great grandmother of our Champions and your own Dessie.

He will never be forgotton in this house, never, ever!   For what he and Mascani gave us.  Thank you Toby!  You are a legend and we love you.

Heather, David and all your family at Conbhairean xxxx

Hi Heather, I knew you were away and didnt want to leave that message on your pc - I will mail you or call you - best mail you as we will both be at it if we talk just now.  Thanks for such a lovely write up as above, everyone has been wonderful.  I know we have all gone through it and I am no different, but the support we give each other is tremendous and really does help.   love Mo.
