I suspect you are largely right, Bill.  Maybe it is simply best to leave the KC to get on with it... but evicting people and the ridicule of Lagos really can't be ignored.  I will continue to complain, some do listen.  Beverley Cuddy sees the KC for what they are... there have to be others out there.

by Blerio on 17 March 2010 - 10:03

Missbeeb, I'm sure there are people out there, But! not enough to matter, Mo may be right about the tip of the iceberg, The eviction, and Lagos situation will happen again and again. This is developing into a really bad relationship with emotional stress, which people don't need. We all know what has to be done to get rid of such stress, that starts on 24th of April, we should all be debating that thread, and how it's going to change showing that will fulfill our needs, that's when as a group, all pulling in the same direction,  we can then have an influence on the others or don't knows, people will always like to see a working model before they buy into it.  So missbeeb, don't waste you're emotions on a bad relationship! Just dump it. regards Bill Owen.

I also agree with Bill's comments and thankfully I am one of the lucky ones whose NO vote Club is able to walk away from the ashes of what once was. For now released from the chains of dictatorship damnation which had bound our breed to this draconion body for far too many years, like the pheonix from the ashes it can now rise up to the heights it was always able to achieve and I for one certainly wont be looking back but looking forward to the sunrise and the future we have ahead of us, onwards and upwards my friends,  the skies the limit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A happy, contented

Dear Mrs Belfield,

Thank you for contacting Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries regarding CRUFTS 2010.

We are sorry to hear that you disapprove of the comments made on the
programme regarding the health of German Shepherd Dogs.

As part of More4's commitment to having an open debate about the health and
welfare of dogs during the 2010 coverage of Crufts, there was always going
to be some discussion about the issues that exist in certain breeds. Clare
Balding was highlighting a well documented health issue that some viewers
may have noticed themselves - which was subsequently noted by the BVA.

Nevertheless, please be assured that your comments have been logged and
noted for those people responsible for our programming.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate all
feedback from our viewers; complimentary or otherwise.

Regards,

Ryan Thomas

To which I replied:-
Dear Ryan Thomas
With all due respect my original complaint contained a question which you, in your reply,
have failed, or is that refused, to answere?
What is the point of asking me to tick the Yes or No box relating to FAQ if when you reply
you still fail to reply with an answere? This really is poor practice and as far as PR is concerned
really isnt good enough is it?
Yours Faithfully
S M Belfield

To which they replied:-

Put's a whole new SPIN on the phrase PASS THE BUCK, dont it !!  KC to Channel 4, Ch4 to Sunset & Vine.
I am almost tempted to say Come back Jemima all is forgiven.

by Penny on 17 March 2010 - 10:03

So ... go forth  and multiply in so many words then - because the KC hae seconded the assistance of educated people that know nothing of our underlying problems with the KC  -  there is a saying   Educated people and common sense many times dont go together....

I am hopefully, having a talk wih Vince Hogan of Our Dogs today.   Shirley has put an idea into my head  - coverage idea that will not be emotive or passionate, it will be factual, and if Vince will go for it with us, then it will be very revealing for all to see without the flowers thrown in to fog the issues that surround us. I will need their editorial staff to help me with it, as I am not good enough to be able to do it and just send it to them, but I am more than willing to go up there and give them my puny little offerings as to how we would like it to present itself - which will be unbiased, factual and very very revealing to anyone with a brain cell.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.   Mo.

I also was unimpressed with the response from Channel 4 so I complained to ofcom as I believe this would come under the heading of biased reporting. I may end up being the only person to do so and it may achieve nothing but as a member of the public I do have the right to complain about anything I find upsetting that has been broadcast, so I did.

by Blerio on 17 March 2010 - 13:03

Disenchanted, I can't understand why anyone expected a satisfactory reply from any of the people they were chasing, ( from channel 4 down to ofcom, you're dealing with people who don't give a toss! So please listen! don't waste you're time and effort trying to get an answer that satisfies you, Because there compute says NO! Let the K.C. boat sink, with all on board, forget them, look forward to the 24th April, and a new start, a new beginning, and let the K.C. become a ghost ship that decays in its own stagnant history. regards Bill Owen.
