I have had two of these for the past year and a half, one dog chewed the edges one time but the rest have left it alone. They have even withstood my adult female paddling in it daily. I have multiple dogs that use this including puppies I'm keeping as show prospects, even they don't chew on it through the teething stages. I do highly recommend you purchase one of the metal/mesh washing machine hoses to use as your connector hose to the spigot, it has worked great after having a few hoses burst in the summer because of the heat and pressure of being left on even at just a quarter turn. And the regular hoses are always such a temptation for them to chew through them. Mine are both attached to the siding on our house, we leave the screws a bit loose so I can pull it off the wall to dump it and scrub it out. Also if you leave them loose and they do paddle in it vigorously it will just come off the wall instead of breaking, then they will at least still have water unless it's upside down then they'll have water on the concrete or plenty of mud to play in!!! And at $24.99 you really can't beat the price!

I have a female that demolishes EVERYTHING!! No matter what bracket system I used she would figure it out and demolish and or eat the water bowl.  My solution was similiar to YR.  I got a galvanized metal tub the bigger round one, I put the galvanized metal pail I use for water in the middle and I poured 100 lbs of concrete in it.  Now she still pushes it around, if she's bored or sometimes I will catch her picking up one end of it and sitting it back down repetadly like she is weight lifting, when she is boored with demolishing her dog house, which she is on the third one and it is on the 2nd roof. LOL Hope that helps.
