Paris, thanks for the response.. I didn't know you were a kennel. I'm sure you cannot keep every dog you have and that you'll find a good home for him :) It's always disappointing when a dog you thought was going to be *perfect* turns out to be less than so. Especially when you've paid more money for the pup than anyone else you know! I'm going through that right now. I will be more careful when buying our next puppy! But, I love him and am happy to keep him. Melanie, thanks for the info! I will look into having just the one removed and then the other at a later time. My puppy is not quite a wuss, but I wouldn't consider him bold either! We'll see what happens, thanks again :) Melissa

I have had pups with ears that didn't go up till 8 mos., (same time their teeth permanently set nto their jaws and they suddenly start chewing again like they did when they were teething at 4-5 mos...) If I get paranoid about it now I use surgical glue to glue the foam rubber from an old-style hair curler in the ear, stopping just at the warped cartilege in the bottom, and then put a piece of water-proof first aid tape around the ear right about the middle. This allows the muscles in their head to continue strengthening, the ear to grow uninhibited as the glue and the curler stretch, and it doesn't bug the puppy much after the first hour or so, so they don't bother to tear it out. Good luck, SS
