Hi Trio,
I think your dog was being rushed. Next time allow your dog to relax in the room. Have the techs come in and if she loves treats have them feed her a few and tell Bella what a good girl she is. Try not to have a crowded room either. Some dogs do not like to be held like the way tech was holding her to do a blood draw. If you remember the hold practice it at home with treats, to make her comfortable. I do not mind a muzzle being put on my dogs, it is good OB for them to learn to wear one.
Always,
Cee

Moons,

What, and give up all this fun?  At least when the loser is harping at me, he's leaving the rest of you alone, eh?   Hard to take someone serious when they can't even spell.

Last time my service dog was at the vet's, the vet had to muzzle him, as he was growling and actually tried to snap at the vet because he didn't like having the bordotella vaccine squirted up his nose.

Yesterday, we met the vet at the coffee shop, and Ranger went right up to him (with my permission, of course), and nudged him for a pat.

So, nope, nothing to worry about!

Our boy does not like restrain or cornering & he will show it. He seems to prefer some space (a large exam room helps) & sometimes they sense the anxiety of the owners. He seemed more at ease when I handed him off to the assistants & the vet to draw blood.

My girl has done the same thing since she was a puppy, now 3 yrs. A male vet took her away to cut her nails and then it was on,she has pinned 3 vets and techs. It took all time before I realized she was protecting me, the rooms are to small, and a stranger comes in , she fells trapped and goes right for them. I finally found a vet who whole pratice is female, they remove their coats before intering and great her in the hall she goes right off with her,go fiqure!
