Bastin, Merlin "Pedro", and Zadine are good dogs.

Reed, I believe when i came, off the field i said these exact words to " make no mistakes about it folks, it takes a lot of shit training to get this far." In fact it was due to stress that my dog came out of the blind, not stress from the helper but from me. Put it this way, if i kick your ass every time you sit down at the dinner table to eat, i bet after day 3 you wont sit at that table any more. Reed, I cant figure out for the life of me why my dog never leaves the helper on the field? i lay awake at night tossing and turning but just cant figure it out. Maybe i was too hard on him w/ the e-collar, prong collar, e-sleeve in the blind and not so much in the field. But if it take a year of (what i look back and see as) EXTREME torture to stress my dog, may we all be so un-lucky. I if at all possible id love to see video of you working your dog. And just incase anyone doesnt know what a nervie, piece of sh*t dog looks like here it is. www.putfile.com/wscott00 Reed would you interested in a little head to head competition? Also im interested in where yor perspective comes from, how many dogs have you titled? Im willing to say you have done very little, you see reed you betrayed your self when you wrote.."and who has failed on the big stage as well this is not hearsay I was at the SE regionals". And everyone who has trained a dog and shown a big events knows it a lot of work and knows that people fail, things happen, you try different things that dont always work out. And NO ONE WORTH THEIR SALT WOULD EVER SAY SOMEONE FALIED AND ITS A FACT.

you see reed its had out here for a trainer and only others who are putting in the work know how it is. So ill tell you what why dont you and i meet, ill bring my crap dog, and you bring the savior of the GDS breed and we'll have match race so to speak. Just let my know when and where. oh yeah, and dont tell me you've been training dogs for 20 years, that doesnt mean crap when you showing at big events, the only thing that matters is trial and error. It is only then you can understand how a dogs performance can change in a 6-8 week time frame. Good day Sir

But as I said Mike, I have been reading your opinions all over for years. And believe it or not, I took the same advice offered by a Mike Russel over on the Leerburg forum. That Mike Russel wrote: "I've talked to Molly(Eichenluft GSD's) on a few occasions about breeding to her Bodo v Tiekerhook. She is on the breed committee for the USA. She is a very knowledgable and breed concious person. You can bet that her litter was well thought out, and I would expect all of them to work (not just sport dogs). I've also had some talkings with Koos (owner Tiekerhook kennel), and Molly got some great bitches from him, not to mention he sent her Bodo to live out the remainder of his days as a stud with her. You'd be getting a good dog out of that litter, and she can set you up with what you need (not what you think you need). I need to thank that Mike Russel if we ever meet. Cheers, Jack

Yep Jack, I might have made a comment like that years ago on Leerburg. But what has that got to do with general comments here? My opinion and how it has changed over time on a specific person is different than talking in generalities about stud dogs and production here. It's nice that you're trying to make this about my opinion on one person, but my comments here are on various things I've seen over the years and not solely about one person.

"It's got nothing to do with demeaning anyone, it's just a plain fact that newer people do not possess the experience to do a trustworthy evaluation, nor do the possess the experience for a serious breeder to base their breeding choices upon. Not putting anyone down, not discouraging people from trying things with their dogs...but lets be honest and call a spade a spade." Mike, if you breed untitled dogs and have not titled a dog yourself, you might try and be a little less condecending.

I was hoping youcould help me out? Ive been going over a few ofhte trails ive been in and cant for the life of me find your name anywhere. now ive only been showing at national and regional events since '04, os its quite possible that you've been working some awsome young dog. I would love to know how you've donw in big events and if it was dog you trained on your own. Not imported w/ titles, and not trained by someone else while you hold the leash. If you've not shown at any big event then just say so.

by dajkzo on 09 June 2006 - 15:06

Walter, I was in a national event, 3 club trials, and a regional in 05, I didn't see anyone named Reed post any scores, "good or bad". I'll look on the milk container tomorrow, just to see if he's missing. Has anyone seen Reed?
