Kurkey is an excellent dog in the work, very strong and good looking too!!! He has lots of drive and is powerful in the gripwork. Like Eagle, not always a "point" dog - but the best dogs for breeding are not "point dogs" IMO.

by wscott00 on 06 June 2006 - 18:06

thanks, he'll give me drive and power every day all day, but all the moons have to be aligned for him to behave and score big points at big events. Also its gotta be the second weekend after a friday the 13th

by eichenluft on 06 June 2006 - 18:06

Walter, I guess Eagle and Kurkey have been talking! Eagle too will bring the power, but at the expense of the points. I'll take the power, though, as I know you will. molly

wscott00, I have to admire that fact that you enjoy your dog's drive and temperment and it's not all about points and perfection.

by wscott00 on 06 June 2006 - 19:06

unfortunatly w/ him ive only recently takent he stance of its not about points. there are days he does awesome OB or protection and all i see is points. and the better he does the more i train and more pressure i use. thank god he's strong enough take all the sh*t training i did. it broke my heart in th SE regionals when he showed a lot of stress and came out of the blind. Since then i just accept the fact that the best he may do in a big event is 93, 94 protection. But my next dog hopefully a Kurkey son will give me the points

Ah Chuck, you have come a long way and so fast. An expert overnite. And you also want to play an identity game. I was warned that this BS happens on here a lot and you just want to be a real player right? I am here under my name and speak my opinions. I did not notice anything foul in my comment but I find your response a bit sensitive and over reactive. You must learn to be tolerant of other opinions. Suck up where you need to but don't expect the rest of us to just buy into your self proclaimed expertise. You offered an opinion, I countered with an opinion. Take it for what it is and get a real life. And Chuck, you trained and titled with whom? I don't have to defend the reputation of the person that we work with his reputation speaks for itself. I can only quote a tee shirt that I bought at the World in Boston, "SHUT UP AND TRAIN"

Kathy, you didn't offer an opinion, just an insult about a good dog and to my eye sight. Which is good enough to say you are fat and ugly. Sorry, but you had that comming :) Why do you care about working lines dogs??? Is the show ring that bad these days????

TERRABLE, ITS ABOUT THE DOGS , THE SPORT , ETC NOT ATTITUDES , REMEMBER WHAT THIS SITE IS FOR.... USE POSITIVE OPINIONS, NOT INSULTING ONES..

by Kathy P on 07 June 2006 - 02:06

MASTERTEKH, Chuck gets off on this BS. I think he tries to hide his inadequacy through dominant verbal attacks. I am a size 10 but maybe his eyesight is not that good (ha ha). Chuck, you really need to wrap up in a good dog. It will help you deal with life. Enjoy your visit to CT.

Oh oh oh... Such a flaming all 'round... Look at the dog. Look at his accomplishments, of course... but pay most attention to what he has PRODUCED. The stud dog, no matter HOW well he has done in compettiton, is only as good as his progeny. Despite commonly-held beliefs to the contrary: the female is NOT just some oven that bakes cakes "just like the stud dog..." anymore than you breed your prized female to a scorebook! PRODUCE or PERISH... that's how it is, and that's how it should be.
