If you turn the rubber horse stall mats upside down, they are also grooved on the back (at least the ones I have are!), so the dogs don't stand in urine. Just thought you might want to consider this. Also, I've noticed that if you put straw down on the mats, it keeps them cool (anywhere exposed to sun, as they are black and do get hot) during the summertime. Hope this helps!

I got my kennel deck at "kenneldeck.com" I had the cow stall mats and like I said above--I did not like them. The rubber mats are heavy! I suppose that even the horse stall mats with grooves would still be heavy and not easy to lift and clean. AND--they do get very hot unless you put something down where the sun hits them directly. Like mentioned above "straw" is what they to keep them cool. Personally--I don't want to add to the chore of cleaning up straw. Less cleaning--means more time to play. The kennel deck pieces are super lightweight, scrub very easy with a brush, wash off very easy, easy to sanitze, and don't smell after a cleaning.
