Markobytes

Before I read anyone's reply I clicked on the link, the color jumped out as being unreal,  the topline definitely looks fake. I know this is a black dog but the fursaver appears to be colored over, sorry Ibrahim

Markobytes,

No need to say sorry, it's your opinion and it's what you see, even if it were my personal dog and a fault was highlighted I wouldn't perceive it negatively, with todays tech anything is possible, a video is safer in regards to evaluating a dog, best is when you can touch the dog with your own hand, I only saw an eye catcher in this dog and I would have been very proud to own such one. Cheers.

I agree Ibrahim, a video would be much better. Making judgments based on one picture is risky, computers sometimes have a mind of their own while building an image. I would not want to cast aspersions on what could be a good dog. I just know I would not want my dog's image to appear the way this dog's image does on my screen. I am curious as to why some viewers liked the dog while others thought something was not quite right. Did we all see the same dog or two different dogs from the same image? I wish success in your endeavors as you continue your journey in the German Shepherd Dog world. signed Hugh

"Did we all see the same dog or two  different dogs from the same image?"

Never mind photos, I often ask myself that question when I hear what people say or see what they write after we've both seen the same dog in the flesh !wink

And why do people print their pics on "glossy" paper, and buy high definition TV, life don't look like HD TV does it, enhancements, everything is about enhancements.

I would buy that dog in a minute if I had the money, and the price for him is not bad considering WHAT he is, his pedigree is VERY nice, and if you look through it, you see many dogs built like him, CORRECT!!!

How many would actually buy an adult dog sight unseen from a stranger?

I guess a lot do,if the ads are any indication. I bought both my dogs sight unseen, in fact my Bullinger boy I did not even see a pic, and I couldn't be happier with either dog. I trusted reputation!

by Blitzen on 26 April 2012 - 13:04

Well, yeah, reputation means a lot, but would you import an adult dog sight unseen from a stranger in Germany unless someone you know and trust can voutch for him/ her? Bullinger is a well known name in the GSD world and if she said the dog is good quality I too would tend to believe her. She only wants her best dogs to end up in the show ring or whelping box.  But buy a dog sight unseen from a stranger basing that decision on a picture that appears to have been photoshopped? No thank you.

I appreciate Ibrahim's pointing out this dog and were he of interest to me, I'd do a lot of homework before putting that check in the mail. Not a slam on the seller, just common sense. There appears to be some interest in him from a breeder in the US, so maybe he will end up in NY state where he can be used for breeding.

You are certainly right Blitzen, about reputation and about buying from unknown. I like my money too much to send it off, unknowingly to anyone. Anyway, I think that dog is REALLY,REALLY NICE.
