Throwing unprovoked insults into what, I assumed, was a serious thread is no way to prove one is not a drama queen.

anyway lets get down and dirty....are gsd's ornaments or a genuine working dog i personaly would prefer a healthy but out of standard dog than one of theis stunning brainless floormats. i am ready to be flamed. sorry showfolkes

Is your kennel name Incubus? Does this person have an axe to grind withyou or something?
My original question still stands. Why fit the standard to the dog instead of the dog to the standard? The standard calls for a working dog with brains and conformation. In my opinion conformation isn't an end to itself but a means of supporting the dog's function in the long run to prevent physical repercussions.
JMHO.

No one is being specific on what parts to change? Color, size, coat, these have all been discussed before seperatly. Do we want to change it like upside down different or just enough to get our own dogs by? I say the standard has already been written, leave it be. How will anyone get closer to the goal if it keeps changing?

Is the OP suggesting that the breed standard be replaced by the Malleus Maleficarum?
