I have not been on in a while, just finished reading this thread ... please know you are all in my prayers. Praying for sweet Kali and I'm praying for You !!! I wish you a speedy recovery...

Well, here's another update. Kali had a good week, but started acting a little droopy over the weekend. Carl & I both had MD appts this am , & crated Kali while we were gone. When we came home she had a lump on her tail the size of a hardball, licked open & just pouring out tumor juice, with that very distinctive tumor smell. So we called the vet, restarted an anti-inflammatory, & an antibiotic, & we'll give it a week. As I look over her rump & legs, I'm finding dozens is new pink nodules just everywhere, even the hard tumors on her front leg & clavicle are getting hot & boggy feeling. I think we're winding down. I had to put the e-collar back on. Poor girl's laying between my feet now, she won't budge away from me, not an inch. jackie harris

I am new here and just read this thread.
I know how you feel, I have been through the same in December, so tired of crying.
Kali sounds like a beautiful dog and how lucky to have had a wonderful family she could share her life with.
I cry with you, it is so hard to watch them ail. I send lots of good thoughts that you, Kali and your family draw strength from one another to get through the next time with peace.

I'm so terribly sorry Jackie. I've never heard of anything like this before. Give Kali and Carl a hug for me.
BTW- Portia passed this month. Cancer. Only 9 yrs old.

I'm sorry Shelley, Portia was a wonderful dog. I hope she was comfortable. I keep thinking of the superfund site that we both lived so close to.... Kali is just about 8 years old, her birthday will be in April. Our vet said she has never seen anything like this either. jackie harris
