Phil Behun

If you remember,,,way back when, this thread was started as a comment on the advertisement of a pet dog listed here as a "stud" dog.  The thread, which has been twisted by the Triumph's Gucci posse into a Gucci love fest was steered way left.  Ironically, exactly what I was questioning was brought up more recently under a different subject heading http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/forum/39886.html

The following statement explains my point and re-addresses what seemed to have gotten lost.  Do you HONESTLY think that this type of breeding is good for the overall future of the German Shepherd Dog?  A simple YES or NO will suffice.

“By far the most dangerous foe we have to fight is apathy - indifference from whatever cause, not from a lack of knowledge, but from carelessness, from absorption in other pursuits, from a contempt bred of self satisfaction"

I think the GSD is far more superior, you probably know this but are in denial. If need be I can send you one of my finest working dogs. It will probably, no it will far exceed your Mali. Just let me know and I will be glad to accommodate you.

It depends...  Mali's are good at clearing cells.  They have so much nervous energy that they are occasionally bred with GSD's to lend them some paucity and make them more reliable and easier to train.  I've seen some malis  that make tweakers look sedated.  However, they do have their uses.

By the way, Phil, I don't recall seeing that "statement" in your feeble attempt at poking fun at a GSD owner in the OP.  I believe that "statement" was leveled at a Kennel Club, not at individuals.  I know that you may find this hard to grasp but context is important.
