What other jobs need/require such a dog?
In my country, when we gather to protest against our government and police arrive with the dogs, we run away and vanish immediately, we do not wait to test or challenge those dogs.

The whole point of this topic is who has real so called gangsta dogs !! And many many people claim they do or have seen them but in reality most don't and just cause you're dog is ipo3 doesn't make it a real hard dog .. Believe me I was one myself till I traveled to bumble (edited) Romania and saw what a angry 100 pounds plus GSD looks like foaming at the mouth at the sight of you ...A real civil hard dog doesn't mean bad nerves all the time , that's just a phrase used by people who can't handle them or understand the dog .. Its not a a dog for everyone, yes I agree but it's an absolute necessity if you're a serious breeder and really want to enhance the GSD lines specially for LEO or military and that's what the modern GSD lacks , real agression and civil drive.

In my country leasing = getting something ( in this case the dogs ) for money, similar to renting something.
That´s why I asked, not more, not less, lol.
Sometimes a question is just a question...
I now try to imagine possible scenarios - your dog muzzled, on leash, as a deterrant during a soccer game, or during a political demonstration / rally, while you are wearing a black bomber jacket and boots...
Sorry, I am just a woman...
Ibrahim, some serious, hard dogs are fun, but they need to be clear headed, they shouldn´t have a too low threshold, and they should be trainable ( not points, training ), everything else is dangerous for society, owner, and dog.
The real problem are "nervy" dogs, often mistaken for "hard" dogs.

You guys need to stop fantasizing, speak to someone like Mike Suttle who actually deals in top tier elite dogs. Nothing like your immature fantasy, quiet the opposite in fact.

Op~ 'Just curious as to who still breeds hard truly civil GSDs , many I've spoken to say the real hardness has been bred out of GSD and almost everyone breeds for sport and even police dogs Arent that hard anymore !?'
Doesn't mention 'gangsta' dogs.
Shawn~ 'The whole point of this topic is who has real so called gangsta dogs !! '
Not the same as a 'hard' 'civil' dog. No one is deliberately 'breeding for' so called gangsta dogs. Breeding for hard, civil dogs is not so rare. Breeding for solid nerves not as much....nerves are usually over looked, as long as the dog has tons of drive to mask nerve problems. That's what I was 'testing' for in those videos, nerves ! Both environmental and pressure with unfamiliar human.

Joan.... Nah, I just realize that traditionally women were regarded as baby machines who cooked and cleaned, who were rarely mother than maids and teachers. We were not allowed to attend universities, vote, own property, have credit cards, have a divorce, have birth control, join the military, serve on a jury, take out patents on inventions, have control over money we made.
If you call me a neanderthal for citing history, you seem to have to lacking some understanding.
by joanro on 13 May 2016 - 22:05
We are talking about the present, not history of western civilization. So, if you want to use ancient history ( ie, 'traditional gender roles') as reference point, the Neanderthal reference is appropriate. Remember the ciggy ad, 'you've come a long way, baby'.... don't let them keep you in the subservient mindset. :-)

bee, thexe guys exactly who/what I was referring to about gangsta dogs,
they want their dogs to be everything they are not.....
The dogs wear the pants in the family, they got all the balls.
and btw...a dog does not have to be obnoxious to be civil!
