The dog is weak nerved.

Great information.  I just finished reading all the posts.  Good stuff.

Weak nerves. The dog is stressed.

An untrained but confident, capable dog would go forward and body language is totally different. The only things you would teach an untrained capable dog in relation to bitework is when to bite, counter, out and when not to bite but to heavily encourage a dog just to bite is a sign of poor confidence mostly due to weak nerves.

What is the age and pedigree of that dog.

I´d like to know the age of the dog, and how he was raised. And I´d like to know if the handler is the one who raised him.
Looks like he is uncertain about the whole situation.
For me he looks like a dog that was never allowed to pull on leash, that was never allowed to bite, and that was never allowed to attack at all.

Weak nerves? Maybe - but maybe only totally confused,  handler sensitive, and raised like a "pet"...
Don´t pull!
Don´t bite!

I´ve seen several dogs like this, they need some time to feel comfortable, and some never learn.

I agree susie

To say the dog is just weak nerved is very unfair to the dog. He does seem to be totally 'confused' with that situation.

We have no idea how he was brought up and what has been acceptable behavior for him. He seems to be willing to 'now' put forth the desired behavior, just hasn't been taught how!

This female dog is currently about 28 months old, has had some training when it was about 6 months old (see below), no idea what happened between these 2 time points. The video at 6 months old is very different (see below). I can add, the person handling the bitch is the breeder. The reason I am asking these questions is because this female dog is a littermate of my own dog. I have watched the puppy videos (between 6-10 weeks) many times and the black bitch was always the most pushy, walked earlier than other littermates etc. Infact, based on the puppy videos, it looked the most promising.

I my opinion:  and if will differ with some. Short of something really extreme, if a dog shows bad signs like this dog and it was caused by environment, it was already in the dog and just brought out. Strong dogs will prevail and weak dogs will fail with the right amount of pressure.

Excellent points, Paul.

This dog didn't look very confident as a pup in the second vid.

Guddu, can I ask, how is your dog, the littermate? I am very curious if they are similar, or very different.

I DO believe that environment can either make or break a dog. Even a fantastic dog can be destroyed by its treatment and training.

Kit

You may cover up crap but when pressure is applied it will show it's ugle face. I have a puppy I bet you can not break, but you will get bit.
