AND ONCE AGAIN WE LOOSE TRACK OF THE ORIGINAL THREAD AND ATTACK OTHERS FOR WHATEVER REASON THE ANONYMOUS PEOPLE HAVE??.
WE HAVE TO GET BACK ON TACK AND MOVE FORWARD WITH OUR THINKING AND GET THE ALMIGHTY KC. TO SEE SENSE AND HAVE MANDATORY HEALTH TESTS FOR ALL DOGS AND MAKE PASSING THESE TESTS A PRE-REQUISITE OF GAINING THE TITLE OF CHAMPION.
WE NEED TO HAVE 1 VOICE ON THESE ISSUES AND BE SEEN NOT TO ATTACK EACH OTHER FOR WHATEVER REASON.
WHAT DOES THE BREED COUNCIL THINK ON THESE ISSUES? DOES IT HAVE A VOICE AND SPEAK FOR ALL CLUBS I`M NOT SURE BECAUSE OF THE CLUBS THAT AGREED WITH THE KC UNDERTAKING EARLIER THIS YEAR.
ITS TIME TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED AND MOVE FORWARD TO A SYSTEM THAT IS BEST FOR OUR DOGS NOT THE BREEDERS OR THE KC COFFERS

And there is laid for all to see the real depth of Videx care for the GSD. He really doesn't care what he's done, but he does care about the lovely 1.5 acre garden the profits have brought him.
Enjoy the fabulous dogs you have left, the ones that are only fabulous to you if they can win or make you money. The adored Luigi was outed quickly enough, along with Bugeila Anthony and the bitch (can't remember her name) who had gone past her sell by date. Yes you really do care about your dogs.....
Typically you have no answer to the points raised. There should be a method of blacklisting people like this from the WUSV/GSDL, not allowing them to attend or exhibit at future events. He has made a mockery of what people are genuinely trying to do to improve the breed.
Devon...if you have been following any of the major threads about health and the 'new' dawn of GSDL/WUSV style of shows being the solution to the inadequacies of the KC, this is terribly relevant since Videx is the self appointed witchfinder general towards the Kennel Club, whilst breeding to a standard lower than the accredited breeder scheme that he publicly denounces as totally inadequate (which it is). The point is, that this just goes to show that, regardless of what 'mandatory' (WUSV/GSDL)or recommended (KC) schemes in place, there are always those who will put money above good breeding practices. People claiming such high ground so publicly should be shown for what they are, for how else are people to know what is really happening to health in the breed?
In any case, some simple ideas for the KC have been laid out, it is now up to them as to what they do with them.

Devon I am not attacking anyone merely stating fact.
This thread was started about emails sent to the KC regarding a dog with a hip score of 50 being awarded the title of Champion. There are some on here along with the person who wrote to the KC that think this is wrong. I too would like to see compulsory health test for all dogs being shown but more importantly for all dogs before breeding. if a dog is not bred from it can do nothing to affect the health of the breed no matter what health issues it has. The dog with the hip score of 50 has as far as I am aware never been used at stud and I assume that having become a Champion he must be a good specimen of the breed. I applaud his owners for not using this dog at stud unlike others on this board who allow their stud dogs to be used on bitches with high hips and then try to defend their actions by claiming the bitch is outstanding.

You seem to have attacked my Mum and 1 of our dogs just because it was bred by David Payne, if you had read properly what was stated about the survey then you'd realise that you could declare either or.
We knew Reefs BVA score and he was never going to be used at stud. We wanted to see what would happen with his survey and show how the system is flawed and guess what he passed with an A' Stamp of NZ because you were and still are allowed to declare BVA or A Stamp. So that is not a case of do as we say but not as we do, it's a case of getting better rules in place for it not to happen again.
Oh and it's nice to see you listening to gossip and blatantly lying about our dog biting anyone when all you had to do was ask us or anyone that knew the dog and they would tell you that they were as shocked as much as us to what happened with our dog considering he was with us for almost 3 years and not once had he growled at or let alone tried to bite anyone.
So please before you don't attack anyone again in your eyes, atleast get 99% of your facts right.

Dale, you can't fix stupid... or nasty and that's what you get from a few people on these threads. The potentially good and useful information on threads like this, gets lost in a sea of spite, half truths and personal vendettas.
This is how some people get their jollies Dale... it's why they signed up to this forum! Some have several "names" to carry out this nasty practice. Don't let the dross get you down.

Is this true about the UK breed surveys - that several dogs with higher than acceptable scores have been passed suitable for breeding?
