I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that Kaiser's elbow X-rays come back normal. I've been following this thread from the beginning and I'm so very sorry for what you and Kaiser have had to go through. We have a very good orthopedic surgeon located here in Albuquerque, about 7 hrs. from you, if you don't find one you are comfortable with in AZ. His name is Dr. Peter Schwarz and here is the clinics website, http://www.vescnm.com/default.htm. The Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center comes highly recommended by veterinarians through out New Mexico.
I wish you the best of luck with Kaiser's surgery and hope for a speedy recovery.

I am on the edge of my seat hoping to hear good news about Kaiser's elbows. Worse thing is Tucson is 7 hours behind me in UK, so am having to wait longer. Can't imagine how nervous Chrissy must be feeling.

Unfortunately, that just didn't happen for Chrissy, did it?
Anyone else get a chance to read Han's rebuttal to Heiko's post on his Alpine forum? It is a nice, lazy, ride on the river Denial, IMHO.

The case with the overbite is pure deception, not a mistake. A breed warden like Jiri must have noticed this problem most definitely by 8 weeks! Passing the overbite off as something which could rectify itself in 8 months was one matter, not informing the puppy buyer prior to the shipment is deception.
I never heard of any good breeder who does not physically check their litters; their eyes, noses, ears, testicles, mouths so on so forth. How can this extensive overbite be overlooked and passed off as a mistake? I guess only a gullible person can be lead to believe this BS.
I was stinged once 15 years ago because my English Springer Spaniel had entropian of an eyelid and the breeder said nothing. The eye was weepy and after several tubes of oilments and 3 vets later, my puppy had to have corrective surgery.
So I will call Han’s and his partner, Jiri bluff for not informing Chrissy in the first place and to gave her the option of accepting the pup at a reduce rate prior to shipment.
This is not about HD and warranty, as HD is not foreseeable as such a tender age. Its about declaring the quality of the pup!
Good luck Chrissy with Kaiser's elbow results.
