Hey sitasmom,

How about Belgium? I don't know anyone in Germany but I'd strongly recommend Rinus Bastiaansen from Belgium.

You could always send him an enquiry.

I know a local highline breeder here in Georgia has talked about this guy before. I know nothing about him personally, but just thought I'd post the link if you are still looking.

>  After looking at the NASS videos, I saw (1) male that might interest me for police work. The rest I wouldn't trust if they had to take a 10yo into custody!
>  Every time I look at those type videos, I can understand why it is getting harder to find good "working GSDs for Police Work and why the Malinois is slowly catching our beloved breed for PSD and other type of real world  work. >  What a shame!  .

At NASS, I talked to a wonderful German trainer who took the time to work with us for about an hour, he said he will be very happy to take her and put a title on her.

He really likes her bite work - "wonderful mix of prey and agression" and he loves her grip (thank you Charles O!). He also commented on how well she is doing with her focused heel, and othe commands and that she's almost ready for her BH and told me I was doing everything super and to keep up the good work.  He will have kennel space this spring and he will pick her up after the spring Sieger show. If I already have an AD and BH on her, he will only need about 3 or 4 months to title her.....

I've been working on focus heeling for the past few months, and today we managed to do a whole foot ball field in focus  - with 4 turns. I was amazed, gave her the ball before she broke! She also did a long down for 10 minutes, and sit in motion while I walked away for 30 steps, turn around, and walk back.
Today was a very good day .

Little victories!

Isnt it rewarding when things start coming together!

Next I will start working her with more distractions. I guess its the next step. I find it amazing that she does anything I ask of her she is such a wild child! Nothing like any of my other SL dogs.
